Dr Appointment {22 weeks}

I was scheduled to have my appointment for next Tuesday but due to some unusual swelling in a very unusual place making it painful to walk, I went in early. My OB wanted to get me in to make sure everything was ok and turns out it is. The protein in my urine was a little high so she thought I might have a bladder infection even though I don't have any symptoms but other than that...all is good! I am measuring 20cm instead of 22cm which kind of shocked me because I don't feel smaller than I should be. I have also gained more weight than I would of liked since my last appointment not even a month ago. I guess it's alright since that's all I've gained! Anyway, I go back in 2 weeks to make sure everything is still going alright. 2 weeks after that, I go in to have the glucose testing done. I can't believe that I will be 6 months pregnant in 2 weeks. This pregnancy is flying by and that makes me really excited because I can't wait to hold my little man!

Here is a picture of me from New Years Day that I never got to posting. I guess I was about 4 months along or so. I thought it would be fun to compare the two but I'm not sure if there is that much of a difference.
After my appointment, we ended over to my grandma's house in Salt Lake. My mom then took a picture of me since we were too rushed in the morning to. Landon had to get his picture taken just like mommy!

{Movement}

While I was taking a bath today, I suddenly saw my tummy move. Amazed, I sat and waited for the baby to move and it happened again! It's been fun being able to feel the baby move but to be able to SEE it from the outsidefor the first time is so amazing. Later tonight, after my mom's b-day dinner, I laid down while Chris sat up and kept his hand on my belly, just waiting. I had been feeling the baby move all through the evening so I was sure Chris would feel it. After a few minutes, no such luck. After Landon had gone to bed, I was upstairs watching T.V. and felt the baby on the outside over and over and over so I ran downstairs to have Chris feel. Not being a very patient person, Chris gave up pretty quickly. I kept telling him that the baby would move but he kept assuring me that he would have lots of time to feel the baby. As soon as he took his hand off, I felt not one but two kicks. I grabbed his hand and finally FINALLY Chris felt a little kick. At 21 weeks 3 days gestation, Chris got to feel his little boy move. It's kind of hard to believe that a baby so tiny can be felt from the outside already. I remember towards the end of my pregnancy with Landon, just laying in bed with Chris for hours watching this baby move like crazy. I should of video taped it. It's pretty cool to watch. Anyway, I thought I should blog about this so I will remember down the road when daddy first felt his second son inside my tummy. Now I just anxious for Landon to feel and to see his reaction. I just know he's going to love his little brother as much as we do!

RV Show

Chris and I decided that instead of moving into an apartment, we would rather spend our money on an RV and park it in my parents front yard. So that's what we are planning to do. JUST KIDDING! My sister called me up on Saturday morning telling me that her sister in law had won tickets to the RV show. I thought the whole idea was pretty silly but when she invited Chris, Landon, and me to go, I figured it wouldn't hurt anything to go and see what it was like. Chris immediately said no way and laughed about it for a few minutes but I decided that it would be more fun for Landon than sitting home all day with his boring mom and dad. He ended up LOVING it! He called the RVs "big trucks" and wanted to go inside and "drive" every single one. I think his favorite RV was the one that had a flat screen and was playing Ice Age. Luckily, he was so excited to go see more that there was no tantrum. We ended up staying for about 3 hours and it wasn't all that bad! Some of these things were HUGE. I can definately see why people would want to go camping in them but I think we'll stick to buying our own home...SOMEDAY :]

Mayan Adventure

Snow Days

There is a little park just down the street from my parents so we decided to take the kids there one afternoon. They had too much fun but it was COLD COLD COLD! We saw some kids sledding down some hills that were right there so we decided to come back and try it! Landon and Lena tried it once and flew on their faces and ended up both crying. After a few times sledding with Chris, Lena was ready to do it by herself. She had a great time while Landon just liked to stand and watch. I went once or twice but I was too scared of hurting the baby. We will have to try it next year when I'm not pregnant. Afterwards, the kids played on the playground and we built a snowman. After we got home and ate lunch, the kids took a nice long nap. It was wonderful!

Valentines Day

I was silly this year and didn't get any pictures. What was I thinking?! Anyway, we started off the day by going out to a yummy breakfast at IHOP. Landon was a huge fan of his twisty "slide" straw. Then, all of the boys headed to the UTES game and I went baby shopping with Joan and Lena. My favorite kind of shopping! Joan bought me a breast pump and I found some really good deals on baby boy winter stuff. We're talking 3 bucks an oulfit! When the guys got home from the game, I showed Chris the baby stuff and pump but didn't think he would really care. He was really confused by the pump and said he didn't understand how it sucked because he didn't feel it on his hand. Joan then told him to lift up his shirt and she stuck them on and sure enough, it worked! It was SO funny. I should of gotten out the camera. "Here baby, look, this is how we prepared for your arrival." Haha. I thought Chris would be angry that I spent more money on clothes but he thought they were really cute. Then we just relaxed and ordered a pizza. Later, Brittany and Cody stopped by with cupcakes and we ended up watching "Unfaithful" on tv. What a great Valentine's Day movie ;] It was a fun day though! I was glad to be able to spend it with both of our parents. Oh, and I coudln't believe this was Chris and my fourth Valentine's together. Crazy! Happy late Valentine's Day everyone!

Early Valentines

As I was making everyone lunch today, I looked up to see my sweet husband holding lots of goodies in the doorway. I was so surprised! We don't normally do anything exciting for Valentine's day so this was extra special. Just the fact that Chris was thinking about me at work and brought something home for me was really cute. What a fun early Valentines day treat. I love my hubs!

Girls Night

My mom decided to have a little "girls night" on Valentines Day while the guys went to the Utes Game. Well, since there was a game on Wednesday night, we decided to have it then instead. My in laws and neice Lena arrived a few hours before so it was fun to have them join in. Chuck stayed home because he caught something nasty and we decided to leave Landon with us since the game would get over so late. He had a lot of fun! We started off by eating lots of yummy appetizers and then soaked our feet and wax dipped our hands. While we were eating, my mom gave each of us a little gift bag with relaxing things in it and a tin with our initials with candies in it. I even got to try out my fondue set that I got on Christmas. I made chocolate dipping sauce for our strawberries-that was probably my favorite part of the night. They were DELICIOUS! It was a great time for all of us. Thanks mama!

Banana Baby

I read that my baby is the size of a BANANA! That is just crazy to me. As I was getting Landon's breakfast ready this morning and picked up one, I thought it would be fun to take a picture of it next to my belly. I remember reading that the baby was half the size of an "o". No wonder I can feel the baby more and more each day. Aside from the fact that I have terrible mood swings and ehem, bladder problems, I am feeling great. This is the fun part. I keep waiting for Chris and Landon to be able to feel the baby but it seems like he only wants to be really active right when I am going to sleep. Hopefully they will be able to pretty soon. I think I love my banana baby or something!

If Peeing Your Pants Is Cool...

consider me Myles Davis. Don't worry that I am only 20 weeks along and I am already peeing my pants. I didn't start having these problems with my last pregnancy until I was almost due so I was totally shocked when I coughed at work a few weeks back. I have such a weak bladder. It SUCKS! I don't like, totally pee buckets but come on. I was afraid to tell Chris about it because when he figured it out last time, he did everything he could to make me laugh and totally PEE myself. One time, I had an accident on the way home with Chris from getting a bite to eat. He did something ridiculous and I started laughing hysterically. I was wearing my favorite pair of cargo pink pants...It was the first time this had happened. Chris didn't believe me that I really did pee and so when I got out of the car, and my pants were soaked, all he could do was laugh his head off. He even SHOWED ONE OF MY FRIENDS MY PANTS WHEN SHE CAME OVER A LITTLE BIT LATER THAT NIGHT! WHO DOES THAT?! Anyway, I was going down to say goodnight to Chris tonight (he goes to bed early now!) and he had a soda in his hand. I asked if I could just have a sip and he handed it to me. For some reason, I just started laughing at him and had to stop drinking for a second. Then he was just looking at me funny and I spit soda EVERYWHERE. It got all over the wall, on Landon's bath towel that I had not even used yet, and his work pants. Because he was making such a fuss over his pants and making fun of me, I started laughing and yep, it happened right there on the floor. I kept saying "STOP! I'm peeing!" and he would just look at me and couldn't stop. I am only half way to having a baby...this is going to be a problem. I don't want to have to wear depends or something. So I guess what I am saying is, if you are pregnant or are planning to be, you have a lot of fun up ahead. HAHAHA!

What A BOY.

Landon is such a funny kid. He HATES to get his hands dirty but somehow almost ALWAYS has a messy face. I clean it and the next thing you know, I need to clean it again. Well, we went over to my sisters tonight to use her Crikit. My sister gave Landon a peice of candy and turned on a movie in the other room. I went in to check on him and he had the chalky candy ALL over his face. It's like he doesn't have a clue. He was just smiling and as happy as can be. I don't know why but I just had to take a picture. He also is very into wrestling with daddy or Pa-Pa (or anyone else who will play!) and so that why he has bruises all over his poor little face. It's not like anyone is rough with him but things happen. As soon as we got home, he took a nice warm bath and we got ready for bed. So okay, I lied-he almost ALWAYS has a messy face...when he is awake ;)

Burp Cloths

I learned how to crochet beads onto little girls socks at Craft Saturday in Seattle a over a year ago. I kept making them and making them but had no one to give them to. I found deals at Old Navy and such for fun colored socks for like, 50 cents so it wasn't a costly hobby. Anyway, I finally learned how to crochet baby birp cloths! My mom asked me if I would crochet one for my cousin's baby shower and I had no idea how to get started. I bought a doll birp cloth f for a buck and took it to work to see if one of my co workers would help me. I was sure that it would be confusing and take me forever but as soon as she showed me, I was done in no time! Next, I want to learn how to do a shell pattern that looks like lace but since I am having a boy, I think this will be so fun on a blankey for him. It looks much more complete than when I used to just sew flannel together. There is a super cute fabric store down the road that pre makes the holes with fun fabric and it doesn't cost that much. Now that I know what I am having, I will be in there soon picking out something fun for my baby! I am super excited.

We're So Glad When Daddy Comes Home...

glad as we can be! Chris started his new position today at Harmon's and we are really excited about it. For one, it pays more and two, he's home by 1:30 in the afternoon! His previous shifts were 4-12am and he would get home after we were already in bed. On the days that I work, I didn't even get to see him at all. I think Landon was surprised to see Daddy home so early. This shift is going to be great when I have two kiddos to take care of. He'll leave when we are sleeping and be home just after lunch. Yay! I'm so proud of you Chris!

One of the advantages of working at a grocery store is if we need something, Chris can just pick it up once his shift is over. Chris is always bringing home treats and Landon LOVES that.

IT'S A....

BOY!!! We found out this morning that on July 2nd, we are going to have another son. We couldn't be more thrilled. We got lost on the way to the appointment and then had to wait for a while for the ultrasound and that made me even more anxious. I could NOT want to find out what our little baby was going to be (and go to the bathroom!). I thought for sure the baby was going to be a girl but I am estatic! I was able to take home some picures of our little boy and also a dvd. I didn't get a dvd of Landon in my tummy so that was extra special to me. He wasn't moving around a whole lot but he seemed to like his hands over his head and kept smacking his little chops-so cute! We weren't able to get a profile shot of the baby and didn't get a very good picture of the spine so we may have to go back in for a re-do. I really hope that we get to because seeing my baby on the screen moving around is SO awesome. Other than not getting at that, everything looked good and baby appeared to be healthy weighing in at 10 ounzes already! I have yet to gain any weight-I really can't believe that. Anyway, now I can start going through Landon's things and putting them all away. We went overboard for Landon and have tubs and tubs of clothes and blankets waiting for a baby to use them. 5 months seems like a very long time to wait but hopefully it will go by fast for us. I absolutely cannot wait to hold this little guy in our arms. We are just so happy!

Babies face is on the left and his hands are over his face.

Definately a little boy!

His little legs.
