Impossible

It's nearly impossible to get a good picture of the boys together and for me to love them anymore than I already do! They sure are cute in their matching polos from Grandma Wagner.

Carter Man

Although Carter is a little stinker and WAY more high maintenance than Landon was as a baby, we absolutely love him to death! Every single day, Chris and I both cannot stop saying how cute he is. We really enjoy creeping into his bedroom at night and watching him sleep in his crib. It's even better if he's sleeping with his little bum in the air. I can't wait to hear his first words and see him take his first steps but wish this last (almost) year would of slowed down just a little bit. Carter is nearly 11 months old but will always me my baby!!

Bedtime

Usually bedtime for the kids is when I finally have some time to myself after a long day and it cannot come fast enough. However, there ARE times when I don't want to put them down because they are being so darn cute. The other night was one of those times. For the last month or so, Carter will pull down his bumper to see what's going on while I am getting Landon ready for bed or when he is waiting for someone to come get him when he wakes up. {The first time I noticed it was when, somehow, Landon ended up in our bed and I was in Landon's bed after Carter had eaten in the morning and gone back to sleep. I had fallen back asleep for a while when heard him start fuss. When I finally looked up, he was staring at me with the bumper down. I could NOT stop laughing. He was just so stinking cute.} Now when the lights are out, there is just enough lights from Carter's crib toy and Landon's night light that Carter can see Landon and tries to talk to him. These kids are way too fun!

[Two Lips]

Landon says the funniest things sometimes. I am trying to record things as much as possible so I will be able to remember once the kids are grown. After Cody's graduation dinner, we headed over to his place to hang out. Landon was having a good time coloring at the table with Aunt Brittany. He requested a castle, pirates, and princesses, of course! When she saw me at the counter she asked, "Did you see my tulips?" Landon got my sisters attention, pointed to both of his lips and said "See mine? See my two lips?" Oh he is so cute!!!

Mothers Day {2010}

This last Sunday we celebrated my first Mothers Day as a mother of my TWO sweet little boys. I can't express how much I LOVE being a mom to Landon and Carter. Being a mom is one of the most challenging yet the most rewarding job there is out there. I am excited to see what the future brings with these kids and hope they think I am doing a good job ;)

After church, Chris and I went over to my parents for a Mothers Day dinner. There my mom gave me a dress from Old Navy that I have been wanting. Silly woman, thought I was supossed to be giving gifts to HER. She is such a fun mom, I love her very much! A few days earlier, Landon kept telling me he was going to buy me a dress for Mothers Day. I would hug him each time and thank him even though I thought he had no idea what he was saying. Turns out, he had gone with my mom to purchase the dress. He even told me that he had picked out a card and a treat for me. The night before Mothers Day, he could not wait to give me his card and I COULD NOT wait to eat my chocolate covered strawberries. That may be why two were gone before I had a chance to take a piture. Landon knows his mommy well!! Landon also made me the sweetest card at church and was so happy to give it to me. I am such a lucky mom. I really am. I love my boys more than life itself and I am so grateful for both my mom and mother in law.

Cody's Big Day

Cody got his Masters from the University of Utah and had a graduation ceremony yesterday. He has been working so hard on this and we are so proud of him! What an accomplishment.

How cute are these soon to be parents? We were not able to make it to the ceremony so in we celebrated later with Cody and Brittany with dinner at Robintinos-yum!

Landon was SUPER excited to give Cody his "treat" at dinner. I had made him a lay made with one of his favorite candies, cinnamon gummy bears and a decorated Coke bottle-his favorite soda. Landon talked about it all day and proudly carried it in the Ute bag into the rest of his goodies only to find out Cody was not there yet. Cody soon showed up and Landon insisted he open his presents right away.
I knew Landon would want a "treat" too so I made him a lay with the left over candy.
My mom is a huge Ute fan herself so we both decided to give Cody Ute outfits for their little girl. She's got to be a Ute fan too, right? He was really cute about it and we can't wait to see her wearing her Ute gear!

Congratulations Cody! We sure love you.

Uncle Travis

Carter loves my brother, his Uncle Travis! Travis is living with my parents and everytime I show up, from the minute I walk in, he wants to hold and play with Carter. They have a special little bond and it's so fun to see. Travis will sometimes just show up to see the kids or will call me to see if I'm going to come over and bring the kids.
Travis introduced Carter to a soccer ball a few weeks back and he was having so munch fun with it. He would roll the ball back and forth, carry it around while Trav held him, and of course tried to eat it.
I think the funniest thing about these two is that they love to watch sports together. I can give Carter to Travis (when he is fussy) and he will be perfectly fine for hours.
When we were living at my parents, I would go upstairs at night to watch tv while Carter nursed. Even if I was watching something Travis didn't like, he would sit with me and ask to hold Carter once he was done eating. These pictures are definately proof that Travis CAN be a nice guy...sometimes ;) Just kidding Trav!

Grass

Carter has his first experience with grass yesterday afternoon. He has never really been outside to play in the grass. Everytime it's nice outside, he is usually in the stroller, being held by mom, or we sit on a blanket. Whats up with that? Anyway, as soon as I sat him down I realized that he had never really touched grass. He immediately went to grab it (like he does with everything) and his hands shot right up. He kept wanting to touch it but had the same funny reaction everytime. He even fell over once and had the funniest expression on his face. It was hilarious! Wish I had would of gotten the video camera out!

He kept looking as us like "What is this stuff?" with his nose all scrunched up.

Such a funny boy! We are loving this stage he is in.
Landon played a little bit of catch and "go fetch" with Daddy and his new baseball mitt and ball. Landon is so spoiled by his Grandma Wagner! She had to get this for him while we were shopping at Old Navy one day. Anyway, I called Landon over to smile for a picture and this is how he posed. He must be getting used to mom always pulling the camera out.

My good friend Alisha came to visit from St. George so we got to visit for a while. It was a really fun surprise to see her and to catch up with eachother. We grew up in the same neighborhood and I miss seeing her all the time. She didn't mind the grass though ;)

I was showing off these pictures to my sister and realized that the photo of Alisha and Carter is the ONLY one I have of Carter's teeth. HOW STINKING CUTE ARE THESE? I think the top four are coming in right now. I can't wait to see what he will look like with all these teeth!

*All Boy*

Landon is SUCH a BOY. I don't know how he found a love of guns. He is pretty much obsessed with them. I can try to keep them away or not encourage it by not buying anything gun related but he can turn anything into one-even his blanket! He looked so stinking cute in his new shirt the other day so, of course, I had to get a picture. Landon did want to cooperate until we made it into a little game. Hince the picture of him looking not so thrilled! How fast can mom get a picture before Landon holds up his gun? Trying to get a picture without a "gun" (linkin logs) in the way was tricky but I managed to get a few!
The other day, my mom and I were out bumming and we saw that the children's store Carter's was having a huge sale. We had been out for a while so my mom opted to stay in the car with Carter while he slept and Landon stayed too. Well I guess my mom had been telling him that I was finding "bargains" for him so when I returned to the car, he kept asking for his "bar gun." He thought my mom had been saying I was finding guns for him.
How cute is he? I can't believe he will be 4 in just a few short months. Why are my babies growing up so fast?

Crazy Hair

Carter has such FUNNY hair. Straight out of the bath, his hair is way curly and if I don't do anything with it, it looks like this the next day. We love it and are going to miss those wispy hairs once it's time for a haircut. You can never get those baby hairs back.

Crawling?

Nope, we do not have a crawler in our house yet but C is getting so so close! I thought Landon was a late crawler @ 9 months and now C is past 10 months and not there quite yet. It would be nice to say "He can't get into anything because he is not crawling" but that's not the case. He still somehow gets into everything! He'll be on one side of the room and I come back and he's on the total opposite side. That boy can ROLL! Sometimes he will just roll and roll and roll to get somewhere. Surprised he does not get crazy dizzy!
How in the world did this boy back up like that? So silly!
Here is Chris helping Carter "crawl." He stayed home with Carter one day when I got home, he said Carter was so close and would go through the motions if you held up his belly. Our pediatrician told me crawling is NOT a milestone and it was perfectly fine that he is not doing it yet. He said some kids go straight to walking. We will see!
