Memorial Day @ the park

Landon was having too much fun. He just loves to run around and go down the big slides. He is super fast but I was able to catch a few photos.

There was a few ducks out and even a crazy person swimming. It was warm, but not warm enough to be swimming in that lake!!

We had fun but Landon was NOT at all excited to go home for a nap ;)

My Jogging Buddy

I have always wanted a jogging stroller so I could take Landon with me running since he is pretty much with me all day and I have no time to work out by myself but those things are just too darn expensive. My mom found one at the DI in Utah for 20 bucks and I was able to take it home with me on the plane on the way home from Utah last month. It's way too bulky and big to take shopping or anything but it works great for walks/runs and we already have 2 other strollers for shopping and whatnot anyway. I promised myself that I would take Landon walking or running everyday so I could get in shape and we could both get some fresh air and so far, I have been doing pretty good about taking him for walks on the days that are nice but have only gone jogging once. So today, I jogged to the closest store, Safeway, and we got some snacks. Pretty regularly, we walk to Safeway to get something if we need/want it but today I ran almost the whole way there which is a big deal for me. I can't believe how long it's been since I actually ran outside, not on a treadmill. It felt gret and Landon loved the smooth ride. I am going to try to run even further or just longer around the block everyday before the wedding. If I could lost just 10 pounds, I would be such a happy girl!

Landon Bug

Our camera takes the lamest pictures! I lost our really nice camera in Hawaii last May :( Luckily, Chris' family had given us a digital a few Christmas' ago but it just doesn't take the best photos. Landon moves so fast and it takes like 10 seconds to take a picture so this is pretty much what I get. Every now and then I'll get an ok photo but for the most part, they are of Landon running away or they are super blurry. Hopefully we will be able to purchase a new camera after the wedding is all taken care of.

As you can see, Landon is recovering well. We have been at home a lot lately, playing with Aunt Kelli and Grandma Brown. Kelli is home from school and Chris' mom is off work because she also had surgery the day after Landon. Landon has a follow up appointment next week to make sure everything is healing. He also has an appointment next month with a pediatric allergist to find out for sure what he is allergic too, and in August we will make his 2 year check up (can't believe he's almost 2!!!!) and then we will be all set to move to Utah, yay!

Kaylie's Blankie

My friend Jessica had her baby girl, Kaylie, this week! She sent me a text saying she was having
the baby and was at 4cm so I figured it would be a while before the baby came so I was really surprised when she sent a picture message of the baby a few hours later! The above picture is of Kaylie snuggling with the blankie I had made for Jessica's baby shower. It makes me feel so good when people use things I make for them. Epecially when I put so much time and effort into doing so! She is such a pretty baby that it is making me baby hungry. Congratulations Jess!

Wedding dresses.

Flower girl Dress
Merissa, Chris' neice, is going to be our flowergirl. Hopefully it fits her because she lives in North Carolina and has not even tried it on!
Bridemaid Dress
Here is Alisha in the almost finished bridesmaid dress. I think the white socks really put it together ;) My grandma finished 3 of the dresses in Utah, Kelli's is the only one left to do and my Uncle is going to do it here in Washington.

My wedding dress

Last but certainly not least is MY WEDDING DRESS!!! These pictures were taken the night before I went to get it altered. I also have a gorgeous veil and pearl/diamond headband (thanks Lesh!) that really tie it all together. I will go in for my second fitting on the 22nd. I didn't realize that I would need so many alterations but it is really worth it.

A new friend.

Landon's Grandma and Grandpa Wagner bought him this fish to keep him company after the surgery. Landon loves him! I put him on a shelf in his room and if you mention "fish" he'll into the room pointing. We still have yet to come up with a cute name. What should it be?

Landon's first surgery.

Landon had his first surgery today at the Swedish Medical Center eariler this afternoon. Everything went well and Landon should be fully recovered in a few months. It was a very long day, even though the surgery itself took about an hour, and we were really excited when we were able to take Landon home and get all of the wires and IV's off of him.

Luckily, there were two different waiting rooms for kids that entertained Landon for hours. His surgery was almost 2 hours later than it was scheduled and Landon was such a good sport. Especially considering he had nothing to eat ALL day.

The discharge nurse gave Landon this cute little teddy bear.

Even though this surgery wasn't life threatening, it was still very scary for me and Chris. Both of our families have been super supportive and helpful. Chris' mom, Joan, took us to the hospital and waited with us the whole time, my parents flew in from Utah to be here and had dinner ready for all of us when we got home, and everyone's cards, gifts, and even phone calls mean a lot to us! We are just glad that this is over and our little guy is OK!

The countdown begins!

There is less than 6 weeks left until the big day and we are super excited (and stressed!) There isn't too many things left to do.

Today we went to the Men's Warehouse and had Chris and Travis fitted for their tuxes. I got butterflies when Chris was trying on the jacket with the white dress shirt. He is going to look so handesome! The tux cost was quite a bit more than we expected but we went ahead and ordered them anyway. Later, my mom and I went to a tux shop in Federal Way and it's about $100.00 cheaper so we are going to cancel our orders, get the deposit money back, and go ahead and get them there. They look like the exact same tuxes! We don't want to make people spend a ton of money to be in our wedding. Anyway, we were going to order a tux for Landon but thought maybe he wouldn't like the jacket and that it would be too hot so we decided to find a dress shirt, pants, and a little vest and tie. So the other day, my mom and I went to Burlington Coat Factory and found the shirt and pants for less than $15.00! We went to the DI today and found this vest for $3.00. We were going to use the vest as a pattern to make him one but I think the one we got will work just fine. Since there is fabris left over from the bridesmaid sashes, we are going to make Landon a little pink tie. I think it's going to be too cute on him and the fact that we got his oulfit for less than twenty bucks makes me happy. Especially because it will probably be the only time he'll wear it.

I never knew how much prepration there would need to be for this wedding. It's going to be a beautiful wedding but I will be glad when it is all over!

Mother's Day

Today was a pretty uneventful day but it was fun to celebrate nonetheless! Even though motherhood came eariler than I ever expected it to, I wouldn't trade Landon for anything. He has taught me so much already. It's hard to describe the unconditional love I have for him. He's like my best friend. He has made motherhood actually pretty easy because he is such a good boy. I just love being his mommy. I am truly blessed!
