Wheeler Machinery

My uncle Doug works for Wheeler and they had a demo day yesterday. As soon as he found out that kids could "try" out the equipment, he wanted to take Landon. It was just the boys-my Grandpa, cousin Skyler, and Doug. So obviously I didn't go (I got a good nap!) but here are some pictures that my Grandpa took. You can tell Landon is so excited in some of the photos because his legs are sticking straight out. Anyone who knows Landon really well knows how he shakes and gets so stiff when he is super happy about something. It's hilarious! I think they all had a really good time. I think it was really neat that Doug's work put something on like this to promote equipment but also to get the workers kiddos involved. They even gave each person that came a goody bag full of fun things. Thanks for thinking of our little Landon, Uncle Doug!

Dr. Appointment ::36 weeks::

As of today I am 35 weeks and 6 days pregnant- 36 weeks tomorrow! I went to the doctors and everything checked out just fine. Blood pressure and everything is under control so that's a good sign. I am meauring at 33cm but the doctor said it could be because the baby has dropped. He also said that the baby feels like he is no longer breech, yay! I went in thinking that I would schedule an appointment with my regular OBGYN, Dr. Taylor, but I was imformed that she will be gone until after my due date. Great...So now I guess we can count on Dr. Powers delivering our baby instead. That's okay with me! It's possible that Dr. Taylor could make it but I'm not worried about it if she doesn't.At least I have seen him a few times and have gotten used to having a male doctor. I was really nervous about that at first but now I don't really care. As long as our baby is safely delivered then it doesn't matter who did it, right? Anyway, I am now going weekly until the baby comes. I can't believe I only have 4 weeks left! This pregnancy has gone by insanely fast. Ready or not, here he comes!!!

I found these pictures online of Dr. Taylor and Dr. Powers. I thought it would be kind of fun to look back one day to remember what they looked like.

I've recently noticed that if I lean backwards a little bit you can TOTALLY make out the babies bottom! It's so cute and kind of freaky!

:::Boutique:::

My mom volunteers at her friends boutique in Layton maybe once or twice a week. The store recently moved one shop over and needed a paint job. My brother has been up there painting over the last few days. So last night, Landon and I decided to go drop in. Landon really likes going to the store with Grandma (while Chris and I are working) and playing with all of their neat toys. I like going to get some fun craft ideas. There were too many fun things I got ideas for last night. For example, nursing covers (For only $15! I'm probably going to end up buying one because you can't usually buy cute materal and supplies for that much!), blessing oulfits (no, I wouldn't make this one), birp cloths, tutu's for my neices birthdays, carseat covers, headbands, and so much more. My sister and I are going to have a crafty day today so I will post what I make, mostly stuff for the baby, after they are all finished. I took a dozen pictures last night of things at the store but I want to show off the things that I make. I just had to post this picture of Landon because he is oh so cute!

+Denver Colorado+

Chris, Landon, mom, Travis and I all went on a short trip to Denver Colorado this last weekend. Trav's friend plays for the Colorado Rapids soccer team and they were playing against the Seattle Sounders so of course, Travis was dying to go see them play. Even though we just got home from Arizona, we decided to tag along. We left Friday after Chris got off work and came home Sunday. So, pretty much we only had Saturday to do fun things, it's about a 7 hour drive, and that's just what we did! As soon as we got to our hotel, around 10pm, we went for a quick swim and soak in the hot tub. Saturday morning, we ate breakfast and then headed to the aquarium downtown. It was probably the best that I have ever been to. They had everything from snapping turtles to Siberian tigers! Afterwards, we ate at the restraunt that was inside the place and it was awesome! Everywhere you sat you could see all kinds of fishes andsharks. Landon had a hard time sitting down and just eating-go figure! It was hard to get decent pictures inside since but here are some of the best.

Landon was really fascinated by all of the scuba divers. He kept pointing and making comments like "They getting Nemo!"

After Landon got to touch a starfish, he didn't want to go see anything else. Lucky for us, just around the corner was a pool full of string rays that you could "pet." Landon liked that as too!

Chris and I at our table in the restraunt. Notice my cool tatoo on my hand? We paid for Landon to get it done and he freaked out as soon as she was about to air brush the fish on his arm. Landon kept saying "Momma, you get it!" Sooo...I did.

Here is Landon trying to give the shark a high-five. A few minutes eariler, he gave a scuba diver a high-five and he thought that was pretty stinkin cool. These pictures were from inside restraunt too, by the way!

I think these pictures are so funny because he wouldn't go near the shark when we first got to the aquarium.

Later that night, we all went to the Rapids vs Sounders game. Even though they ended up tying, we had a really good time.

::Water Boy::

Landon absolutely loves anything to do with water. So when Grandma cleaned off the patio with the hose the other night, it wasn't a big surprise that he eventrually ended up with it. He is our little water baby!! I can't wait to take him to the water parks this year. He is such a fun fun boy.

Arizona Trip ::Goin Home::

::On the road again:: Our goal was to leave around 5:30 am on Sunday morning but it ended up being more like 6:45 by the time we got going. I wanted to take a picture of the three of us in front of a huge cactus but we just didn't have time. They were everywhere and I had never seen one before so I was sad when I realized we hadn't done so. I had my camera out the window trying to focus in on a cactus and Chris suddently pulled over. It wasn't really a good spot to take a picture but I did it not thinking he wouldn't stop again. A few feet later there was a really cool one so I asked him to pull over and he did, obviously. Just check out that huge thing! Our trip took until after 10 at night-it felt like the longest road trip ever. I think it's safe to say that I will never drive that long without AC or while being 8 months pregnant. Landon was probably the best out of all three of us-he hardly ever whinned and just had fun watching his movies, snacking, and sleeping. All in all, I'm glad we got to go and see Chris' family. We agreed that we would take a longer vacation next time. Driving for two days and only staying for 2 1/2 isn't cool. Anyway, we are so proud of Kelli and were glad to been there to see her get her diploma and hang out with the rest of the gang! Can't say I would ever want to live in Arizona but it was fun place to visit.

Arizona Trip ::Day 4::

::Day 4-More Swimming and Car Fixin::
Chris went to go work on finding out what was wrong with the car in the morning. My mother in law took him along with Kelli, Erin, and two of the kids. Kelli needed to pack up her apartment into the moving truck. I was at the hotel with Merissa, Carlos, and Landon so I decided to take them to the pool since I knew it would be a while. They had a blast in the kiddy pool that was only a foot and a half. Landon was unsure of it at first but eventrually started splashing around without being carried by mom. Chris called to tell me that the radiator had blown and we needed to buy a new one. A random stranger offered to put in the part for 45 bucks. Chris felt pretty good about the guy and so they met back up after he was done working. If it wasn't for the guy that helped us out, I don't know what we would of done! When Chris got home, we pretty much just relaxed the rest of the night. The heat really wore us out!

Arizona Trip ::Day 3::

:: Day 3-Graduation and Car Disaster ::

Kelli's graduation was at 2pm and we were planning on leaving around 11;45. Of course we got up early enough to enjoy a dip in the pool before we left.

Chris' awesome photo taking. I wasn't going to post it but it shows how nice the place was where we stayed. This was just the pool house. It was sweet!

Tristan-Erin's little boy.

Kelli all ready for graduation!

It took about an hour to get to the graduation. By the time we made it to the parking lot, we were DYING from the heat. Just as we pulled in and were about to pay for our parking, we heard something that sounded like a gun shot. At first I thought it was something behind us but then I realized there was smoke coming out from the hood. AWESOME! My first thought was that the car over heated but once we got out we saw transmission fluid EVERYWHERE. Not a good sign. Chris' mom and tiny sister, Erin, were able to push the car into a parking spot. The security officer was nice enough to not charge us for parking. We were freaking out at this point and not to metion totally embarassed that we were holding up traffic! We had just killed my sister's car and had no idea what was wrong with it or how we would get home.

Lena Magoo "What happened to your car?!"

Waiting to watch Kelli get her diploma. Chris doesn't look stressed out or anything does he? I made him take another photo but it cut off Landon so I'm posting both.

Congrats Kel!

After graduation was over, we all crammed into the retal that my in laws had. There was 9 people in all and definately not enough seat belts...good thing we didn't get pulled over! We had no choice but to leave the honda until morning when we could figure out what to do next. We drove for what seemed like forever to a cute Italian restraunt. I barely had any water or food all day and by this time it was nearly six. I felt like I was going to pass out. I brought one water bottle and one sippy of gatorade on the way to graduation but they were both gone within minutes. So when the waiter brought out plates of dough for the kids, they all thought it was to eat when really, it was to entertain them while we waited for the food. Carlos and Landon both shoved the floury dough in their mouths as soon as they could. Carlos cried from being embarassed and the nasty taste of TONS of flour and Landon cried because he was so hungry and wanted more. After a convincing a sad little boy that it was for playing and not eating, he really enjoyed playing with the dough and making balls. The food finally came and it tasted so good!
