Boy OR Girl?
This is driving me crazy! I see so many good deals on baby things and can't help myself. How could I not buy something that is SO cheap? For instance, 2 pairs of newborn pants for a buck or 5 onesies for 5 bucks. Are you kidding me? Chris keeps telling me to just have patience but it's really hard for me. We only have one more month of wondering though!
Christmas 2008
Christmas has come and gone and I am just can't believe it! Christmas was a lot of fun for us this year. It was Landon's first Christmas with my side of the family and our little families first Christmas in Utah. We started the morning by opening presents, eating breakfast, and then a bunch more family came over for supper and we opened more presents from eachother. We received so many things that we needed and are so grateful. It was a very relaxed, fun day besides the fact that Landon's nose was running like a fauset. He was a good sport for not having a nap but made mommy and daddy very happy when he went to bed at 8:30pm and SLEPT through the night. We were able to stay up and play some games with Brittany and Cody. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas {Eve}
Christmas Eve-late night:

Landon was already asleep by 8 o'clock (on the way home from my uncle's) and I figured he would sleep through the night since he didn't have a nap that day. I was totally bummed because he was still in his regular clothes. Well 10 o'clock rolled around and Landon was awake so we decided to put his new red jammies on. My mom also suprised Chris and I with NEW jammies too. I love having new pajamas to wear on Christmas morning. My parents always had pajamas for us kids to open on Christmas eve. I didn't really think about it until the last minute for Chris and I. Needless to say, we were super excited!

We spent most of Christmas eve in West Jordan at my uncle's home. We had soup bowls, visited my grandfather, and played games. My parents received two fun games that Landon got to open. Each time he ripped a tiny piece of paper, he would shake in delight. He's so funny! He even got the hang of "Fact or Crap" and would look down at the card, talk in jibberish like he knew the question, and look up for your response. If you said "crap" he would say "Crap!" too. It was pretty priceless.

On the way to my uncle's, we had just enough time to go walk around at Gardner Village. They had some elves (freaky looking ones) throughout the "village." Landon was pretty freaked out by them. I set him next to and elf and tried to show Landon that it was okay. I told him to tell the elf hi and his reply was "No hi!" while reaching for me. It was cold but we didn't stay long so it was okay. Next year, we'll have to go early enough to go on a hay ride with Mrs. Claus!

It was an awesome Christmas Eve except for the fact that Chris had to work. At least we got to spend a few hours together in our new warm jammies.

Christmas ~PARTY~
For the past few years, my uncle and his family throw a Christmas Party right before Christmas. This was the first time we were able to go and we had a really good time. We ate, opened presents, and just enjoyed eachothers company. Usually, Santa comes and delivers presents to all of the kids. This year, Santa got lost in Montana, so my Grandpa said! He gave out the presents instead. Landon got really excited when he pulled out the jingle bells. After the presents to the kids were handed out and everyone was done eating, we did a present exchange. Everyone sat in a circle and my Grandpa read a story that had a lot of "rights" and "lefts" in it. Everytime we heard the word, we had to pass it to whichever way he said. It was really fun!

Landon looking into his train picture toy. He absolutely loved it!

Great Grandpa helping Landon open a present.

The smallest guy there. Maddix was born on Thursday and still made it to the party. He weighed 6 pounds 4 oz. So tiny and sweet! I loved holding him for a few minutes. Chris even asked to hold him too!
Just practicing he said ;) Maddix is wearing the hat I made and brought to the party for him. He looked so cute in it!
Brittany got the biggest box of chocolates I have ever seen from the gift exchange.

Oh Christmas Tree
Here's a funny story about the stockings. My mom had two extra stocking holders on her fireplace and said I could use them. Well, I never remembered to pick up a third one and just set mine and Landon's stocking up there until I had time. Chris was sitting at the kitchen table and all of a sudden he shouted, "Brooke! What the heck! That's messed up!" I couldn't figure out what he was talking about until he ran over to the stockings. He was so sad. He said he didn't feel like I wanted him to be part of the family. I couldn't help but laugh. He didn't believe that there were only enough for two. Well, after we put up our tree, I thought our little little tree would make a fine stocking holder (for now.) I think they look kind of cute on there. Thought that would shut Chris up ;)
I just LOVE Christmas time!

Generous Neighbors
We have the most fun neighbors next to us! I love having so many people around us with kids your age. However, they are my favorites! I went over there today and we chatted for a while. It was really nice. They are such good people. Right when they found out I was pregnant, they offered us their gorgeous crib and matching changing station/dresser. The above picture isn't the crib she is giving us but she is the nursery set she said we could have too! It's the cutest I have ever seen and it will be perfect for a boy OR girl! I am going to have to ask her if I can take a picture of her nursery so I can mimick it. Anyway, her son is almost one and will only be 18 months (well, around there) when our baby is born. I felt bad making him get out of his crib for us but she kept insisting that she wanted to do it. She told us that it might be a month or two after the baby is here but I am planning on keeping the baby in the bassinet for that long anyway. We were going to get the baby a new crib because ours was used and it's about had it but to have someone just GIVE us one is too much to ask. While I was there, she also let us borrow a brand new little boys snow suit that someone had sent to her for her baby when he is big enough. I had been meaning to get one for Landon so it's great that I don't have to now!
She also gave us her Baby Bijorn. I am such cheap person but I was going to buckle down and get one for the next baby. Those things are like 100 bucks! I know I am only 3 months along but it's nice to get able to get stuff like this out of the way. I know you won't read this but thank you Kevin and Lisa!!! We are just so grateful!
