Another Road Trip
Chris and I have decided to fly me up to Washington on the 21st of August to help him make the drive to Utah in the u-haul. I'm not really looking forward to the 14 hour drive again but it will be nice to spend some time with my husband and make sure everything is ready to go. Landon is going to stay with his grandma and grandpa Wagner in Utah. I have to be back for work on the 25th so it'll be just a quick get-a-way. So all of you Washingtoners, leave your calendar open so I can come say hi and bye. Okay, I guess I only have one friend in Washington left so Mandy, let's play!

Baby Ava
Our good friends, Mike and Vivian, had their beautiful baby girl this month. It's sad that Landon and I don't get to see her in person but Chris is going to go see her before he moves. I have to send some of these pictures to Costco to get printed because Chris seriously doesn't know how to use e-mail and he really wants to see her. We are so happy for the Bastrons!

Landon Taylor
Landon is at such a fun age right now! It amazes me how much he learns each day. Today we were at the bank and they had a dish full of suckers at the counter. I handed one to Landon and said "Do you want a sucker?" And he replyed "Sucker!" He is picking up on everything! It seems like he is learning a new word everyday. I cannot believe he will be two in September. I love my Landon.

The cake and toasting glasses that we didn't end up using. They were super cute though!
Chris and I had our open house at the Botanical House in Kaysville on Saturday, July 26th. It was a beautiful night-we had a lot of fun!

My little Guardian Angels
I am the most forgettful person ever! It seems like I am always misplacing or losing things. Usually these things are pretty important. Chris is always making fun of me for it.
In 2006, Mandy and I took a road trip from Washington to Utah. On the way home, I put my wallet on the top of Mandy's car and drove off. I didn't realize I had lost it until I offered to pay for the next gas fill up. The scary thing was, for some odd reason, the gas station wouldn't take her card and we had to drive for several miles on empty to try her card at another gas station. I kept praying that we would somehow make it and that my wallet would be found. In carrying Landon in his carseat to the car and having my wallet in my hand, I forgot all about it on the top of the car. I managed to grab my drink though, go figure. Anyway, a year later, I got a letter in the mail from the police department saying they had been trying to locate my whereabouts since. Someone had turned it in and everything was inside. My cash was even still there along with all of my pictures of my sweet baby Landon and neices and nephews. I couldn't believe it!
On the way to Utah from Spokane this last month, I lost my social security card, marriage license, birth certificate, and pin number to my debit card in an envelope. I didn't notice that it was gone until we were about to hit the road home. We went to two hotels we had been to and no one had turn anything in or found anything in the hotel rooms. I was pretty upset and angry at myself. I thought my identity was going to be destroyed and was really worried about it. I went and got a new birth certificate but everything else would of been hard to replace. However, eariler this afternoon, I got a call from Bishop Johnson in Post Falls Idaho saying he had my personal items. On our marriage certificate, the Bishop that married us put his name and "Bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." He didn't need to put that but I am so glad that he did. The waitress at a restraunt we ate at found it in the parking lot and had her LDS friend take it to her bishop. That bishop called the bishop that married us and gave him my cell phone number. I honestly don't think I ever would of gotten those things back if it wasn't for that little phrase. I am so grateful that I can't even describe how happy that made me! I know this sounds silly but I think my prayers had a lot to do with this. The power of prayer is so amazing. I feel like there are guardian angels looking out for me. Who gets their personal, special, unreplaceable items back like that when they were lost hunderds of miles away? I want to send that girl and bishop something special to let them know how grateful I am to them. The bishop told me the girl had been trying to find me on the internet for the past couple of weeks. There really are good, decent, kind people out there in the world. It may not sound like a lot but to me, those things were really important. I am such a lucky girl.

Sicky Boy
I think Landon is sick :( He woke up this morning around 6 o'clock which he never does but I went in to check on him and he was trying to go back to sleep so I left him alone. I went and woke him up around 9:40ish and he was really cuddly and just not quite himself. He had a runny nose and two pretty yucky diapers. I hope he gets better in time to see his daddy tonight 'cause I know he is dying to see him!
Happy 24th of July!
We celebrated the 24th by going swimming and my sister's place, BBQing later at my parents, and Cody put on a little firework show for us. We swam for a few hours-it felt so nice! Landon took a nap half way and Cody was generous enough to stay inside where he could keep an eye on him. The BBQ was delicious but let me just say-my family is ridiculous! We had such a fun time. I will have to post some silly pictures later. I wish that I could somehow get the home video on here. I promised Cody I wouldn't but maybe I could talk him into it.
Testing Grandma's new camera
Aw, he loves his mama! Recently has picked up "Bookie" from my mom and has been calling me that.
Little Landon looking so much like his daddy here!

My mom bought a new digital camera from Costco for pretty cheap. She thought it wouldn't be a very nice one and it had been sitting in the box for 2 weeks so I asked her if I could try it. It's actually a pretty decent camera! It takes quick, clear photos. I might have to go and buy me one :)
I know the pictures are pretty nasty of me but we had both just woken up Landon is way too cute to delete them!!

Back to School
I had an interveiw for a position as a teachers assistant in the Special Education and I got the job! I went to the highschool for an interview at 8:00 yesterday morning. I thought the interveiw went pretty well and they told me they would for sure call me either way in about 3 1/2 hours. Well, I waited all day and no phone call so I thought I just didn't get the job. The principal called this morning to tell me they wanted me on board. I'm pretty excited! It pays pretty good but it's not as many hours as I thought but at least it's something. Now I have an excuse to go buy new clothes...it's for back to school!

Banana Bread
I LOVE banana bread! I have never made it before-until late tonight. I should of looked at a recipe long ago and would of seen how easy it really is to make. We want to serve banana bread (along with some other things) at our open house this Saturday. I made two loafs tonight and we have 8 more to make. Brittany and my aunt are going to make some as well. I hope there is left overs 'cause it's so yummy. I tried to get my mom to take a picture with me by the bowl but she said "No, you guys will just laugh at me." Hey, it's probably true but in my defense, my mom is always taking pictures of us kids and I rarely ever see my mom on the other side of the camera. She for some reason just always makes funny faces. Anyway, I am so excited that I know how to make it now and that they turned out decent.
A Birthday Party!
My uncle Kenny's granddaughter, Sophia, had her second birthday today at a park in South Jordan. Landon was really funny trying to hit the pinata and he loved the party blower that came in his goody bag. It's kind of hard to believe that Sophia is 2 already and Landon will be 2 in September! I remember when we were both pregnant together. Time flies! After the party, we stopped by my Uncle Craig's and everyone was playing band wii (I think? I don't know what it was called!) and Landon thought he was making music with his guitar that wasn't plugged in. It was hilarious.
Picture from Nursery
I don't know if this is Landon's coloring because the top of the page says "Logan" or if someone thought his actual name in nursery is "Logan" but he was so excited to show me when I came to pick him up! I just thought it was cute. I went to my new ward today and I really enjoyed it and I think Landon did too. The nursery leaders said Landon did so good and someone in RS told me that they introduced Landon in front of everyone and he just stood there smiling. HAHA Aw, I love my little Landon.
Animal Planet Expo
My sister took Landon and me to the Animal Planet Expo in Salt Lake on Saturday. It took us 45 minutes at least to park, it was really stinkin hot out, and the lines for everything were way too long but we had a pretty good time and everything was absolutely free. We got these silver animal tags with our name and numbers on it (I put Landon's on his packback and mine that says "Brown" on our key ring) and some other fun prizes. I think Landon's favorite thing was when he found a puppy sleeping underneath a sign. She belongs to a worker there and she had no problem letting Landon pet her for a few minutes. He was so cute and gentle with her. The first thing we did was take our picture in front of a green screen. We thought it would just be a picture of the three of us but after we had the picture taken, my sister told me we would be with a bunch of other people on a couch. They gave us the password to get the picture off the internet and it is the most ridiculous thing. What would anyone do with a picture like this?! I had a good laugh out of it. It was fun to be with Britt and the slurpees after being in the 100 degree weather was heaven! Thanks sister.
Fire Station
My grandfather built the new fire station in Salt Lake and we we able to have a little tour after the dedication on Wednesday. It turned out really nice! There were cookies and drinks and the best part of all...fire trucks! Landon was a little intiminated at first by how big they were but after a few of us climbed in with him, he loved it! All of the fire fighters were so nice to us and even gave us a bag with a leather notebook in it attached with a caculater and pen (Landon's new favorite church entertainment!) We were only there for about an hour but it was cool to see something that my grandpa built. I am so proud of him!

Waiting for Aunt Britty
My sister told us to leave our house at 4 o'clock yesterday and by the time i got there, she would be home. Well, I got there around 4:15 and she got home around 5:00 so Landon and I hung out on the stairs. We didn't mind! We had snacks and Landon had fun knocking on everyone's doors. He didn't understand why aunt Brittany and uncle Cody wasn't answering when he knocked. Thought I would share some of the pics!
