Carter

Here are some updates on how Carter is doing since he one year old now! Carter is such a funny little boy. He is constantly on the go and knows exactly what he wants. He loves to cuddle and then sometimes just wants to be by himself and explore. He recently started crawling (HOORAY!) and is on his way to walking. We were over at my parents and I was crocheting and heard Landon say, "Look Mom, Carter's crawling!" I thought maybe he was doing his little army crawl and getting into something so kind of ignored him but when I looked up, he was crawling right towards me! I quickly pulled out my phone to record it. We were so excited! He is pulling himself up on to anything he can. Carter will take little steps if you hold onto his fingers. Before he would just stand there, excited on his tip toes. Since he knows how to stand in his crib, it takes a while for him to get to sleep because he will just stand there, wanting to play or have someone come get him. He used to just fall asleep with his music playing within a few minutes. He is now off formula all together and is doing great with whole milk in a sippy cup. I didn't know how he would do going cold turkey but he loves food and has mastered his cups. My mom and I took him to see "How to Train your Dragon" the other day and it was a disaster! I thought he would just sit through the whole thing and enjoy his lunch and snacks but nope! As soon as we found a seat, he wanted to get down and crawl on the nasty floor and was restless. He ended up sleeping in my arms (after fighting it for a while) so he missed almost the whole film. Guess it will be a while before he can enjoy things like that! Carter makes the funniest noises and we love giving him our phones so we can hear him grunt into it. He will sometimes hold it up by his ear and grunt or put it on the top of his head. He is constantly cracking us up and we just LOVE him so much.
