Yesterday was my last day of work. I was hesitate to go just because of everything going on with Aiden. It was the day Brittany ended up delivering and needless to say, I was pretty much a mess. I was up at the hospital with Brittany and Cody until 11 o'clock pm the night before and although I was pretty wiped out, I wanted more than anything to go back up in the morning to be with them. I went in for about 2 hours and then got call from Cody saying that they were going to break Brittany's water so I rushed up there. Anyway, I am glad that I went so that I could say goodbye to all of the kids and wonderful people I worked with. I can't say that I will miss going to work but I can say that I will miss the students and their sweet spirits.
I went in today thinking that the kids would be there until after 2. I wanted to be able to see them one last time because my goodbye the day before was brief. I also needed to pick up a few things. Unfortunately, I got there and all of the students were gone. The teachers were all in the library for lunch so I thought I could just stop in and say hi for a bit. Well, I was offered cherry cheese cake and then told to go get myself something to eat. Before I knew it, the principal was giving a speech and paying his gratitude to all of the staff that would be leaving. All of a sudden, my name was called and I had to go in front of everyone. I was not prepared for that! They gave me a really nice Bountiful Brave-how sweet! Bountiful has been a good place to work. They have been so kind to me throughout my pregnancy. I made some good friends and will definately be keeping in touch with them.
The TA's that I work with were really kind and brought in gifts for our baby. They even brought in some fun little things for Landon like cars, playdo, and bubbles. Here is his first time experimenting with PlayDo. He had a blast making balls and snakes with eyes.
