We LOVE having a pond so close to where we live. It takes about two hours to get the kids ready to go and packed into the double stroller but only five minutes to walk there ;) The other day, my mom picked us up and we took bread to feed the ducks/pelicans/birds. My mom brought a few bags of leftover bread and we brought a few that were going bad (Chris brought home a ton from work for free) so the critters got lots to eat! 
Lately we have had a lot of fun watching the huge pelicans that have been hanging out. Some days there are almost ten of them swimming around-they are so cool! One almost came over to say hi but then turned away. Landon tried to feed him anyway.

After not seeing a whole lot, we walked over to the bridge where we saw lots of ducks and a family with new baby birds! The mom (or dad, I don't know!) would swim over, grab some bread, and take it to her babies. It was really cute to watch. 
Carter was more than anxious to get out of his stroller and look over the side. He really enjoys watching those ducks!
And Carter also is obsessed with his older brother and wants to do everything like him but is just too little-darn it!
