Seattle Trip-Day7

Friday was a fun but emotional day for us. We drove to Seattle to visit with Chris' grandmother, aunt, and cousin and then walked down the road to see Uncle Ray and Aunt Jan before dinner. Ray was diagnosed with cancer and told he only had a few months to live. That was a few months ago and he seems to be hanging on but no one knows for how much longer. I have only met Uncle Ray a few times but feel like I have known him forever. He is so good with kids and such a fun guy to be around. It was hard to go, knowing that would be the last time we would see him alive. I'm glad that we got to see him and get onelast picture but it was a lot harder than we thought. It was good that we got to spend time with Grandma, Justin and Kim afterwards because they are such goofy bunch to be around.

Seattle Trip-Day 6

I must of not taken any pictues on day 5 of our trip! I don't think we did much that day. Anyway, during the day we got to spend time with our nephews and neice. We went for a walk, ate lunch, and all watched a movie on our bed. Then, on Thursday night, we ended up driving to see our good friends Chris, Pam, Ela, and new baby Ryland. Their baby was just a little over 4 pounds when he was born 3 weeks early and then at 4 weeks weighed about 6. Well, last time we checked, Carter was about 11 in a half pounds so he was almost DOUBLE the size of Ryland. I couldn't believe how big he looked next to Ryland. He was just so tiny...both of my kids were never that small! We ate pizza, visited, and Landon tried out their Wii with Ela. He didn't really know how to play but was SUPER excited and had a lot of fun playing with his little friend. He was cracking us up.

Seattle Trip-Day 4

On Tuesday, we went to a late lunch/early dinner with our friends, Mike and Vivian. We went to an Asian restraunt at South Center and then did a little shopping afterwards. Chris bought some much needed clothes and Landon got hoody from Gymboree with his birthday gift card. Anyway, the last time we saw both of them was when Vivian was very pregnant with their daughter, Ava. She is now 14 months and such a little chunker! She weighs 5 pounds less than Landon and Landon is 2 years older... Just look at her parents, they are both tiny! It was nice catching up with them, meeting their spunky Ava, and showing off our cute little boys. Good friends-good times!

Seattle Trip-Day 3

On day three in Washington, Landon Carter and I spent the day with Mandy and Brady. We mostly went shopping and it was pretty exhausting-seriously! I still have yet to go out much with the two kids so I forget how much work it is. Thankfully, Mandy let me borrow one of her strollers but I still had to hold one kid while the other was in the stroller. We were there for about 3 hours but it felt like 8. Still, it was fun! Didn't spend a whole lot of money so that was good too. I always have such a good time with Mandy...no matter what we are doing. I really miss hanging out with her!

Seattle Trip -Day 1 and 2

Chris, Landon, Carter and I just got home (On Sunday) from our week long trip to Seattle. We left on a Saturday morning and came home the following weekend. Everyone was shocked that we would drive with two little guys but it really wasn't that bad. Landon watched movies his DVD player and Carter slept most of the way there. We had to stop pretty often so we pulled into my in laws drive way around 11:30pm. Remember that we gained an hour it was 12:30am our time. We had planned on leaving around 5:30am but didn't hit the free way until 9:30. Guess that's what happens when you are traveling with kids. Since we have SO many pictures from our trip, I decided to break them up in different posts.

On Sunday, I didn't waste any time and got the kids ready to go see Manday and her baby, Brady who was staying with her parents in Auburn. We didn't stay for long but it was so good to see both of them. Mandy went through her baby clothes and Carter left with a whole new wardrobe-so awesome! She also let me test out her bumbo seat. Carter isn't QUITE ready for it yet but will be soon so she left me take it home. I was really excited about that! We spent the rest of the day with family. Lena, our neice, was been waiting to meet Carter ever since she knew I was expecting. She loves that little baby so much and it was neat to see her with him. She would glady hold him until her little arm would hurt, ask you if you wanted to hold him, wait a minute, then want him back. My sister in law Kim stopped by with her little boy Trey and they were both equally in love with Carter. Who could blame them?!

All Smiles

Carter started smiling a few weeks ago and it has been so much fun. When he focuses on someones face while being talked to, he'll really smile, sometimes with his tongue. Before we left for Seattle, my sister got one of his first smiles on camera. Now I can't wait to hear his little laugh but for now, I'll take those cute little smiles.
