Anelope Island

Joan and Chuck took the kids to Anelope Island in Salt Lake on Tuesday afternoon. Carter and I were going to go as well but then we realized we didn't have a car big enough to fit all of us because Chris was at work. So off they went! They came home telling me how much fun it was. I couldn't believe how close they had gotten to the buffalo to take a picture-craziness! It was nice for Landon to get to play with his grandparents and cousin and see all of the fun animals and olden day houses.

So while they were away, Carter took a nap...
Snuggled with a pair of basketball shorts...(He always has to have something silky or soft by his face so he loved this. I almost put the shorts in his carseat because he was so content with them. Such a funny little boy.)

and found the sports channel at a local resturaunt.

Oh and I just enjoyed Carter in good spirits!

Grandparents

Just hanging out with Grandma & Grandpa Brown.

Gardner Village

While our in laws were here, we decided to take them to Gardner Village. The whole place decorated with all kinds of witches, there's hay rides, a corn maze for kids, and even pony rides. We did a few things but were disappointed when it was too windy and rainy to do the hay ride. We did, however, get our favorites; carmel apple and hot chocolate. We were happy.
Getting ready to go.
This is our third year going and we look forward to it every time. We had so much fun that I think we may even end up going a second time!

Visitors!

Chris' parents and our neice, Lena, came to visit from Seattle for a couple of days. They arrived late Saturday night and the kids wasted no time and got right to playing. Lena is 4 so they get along great! Landon loved having a little buddy stay with us. After church on Sunday, we decided it was a nice day to go to the park.
The kitchen makes a great bowling alley.
Lena LOVES Carter. She would ask to hold him every chance she could and when Carter would stay happy long enough for her to do so.
Buds.
Daddys like to play too.

Carter even had his first swing at the park! I made lazagna for dinner and then we just relaxed. What a perfect Sunday.

Haircuts

Landon and I both got haircuts this weekend and it was LONG overdue.I finally was brave enough to get BANGS! Everytime I go get a haircut, I either chop it all off or don't get what I wanted at all. That's why it took me almost a year and a half to go get it done. Your heard me right, the last time I had my hair even trimmed was in August of 2008-pathetic, I know! My sister always comes home from her salon with way cute haircuts so I tried her place out. It cost more than I have ever paid for a haircut but it was so worth it. I was embarassed to tell the stylist how long it had been since I had cut my hair but she kept asking and once I told her, said she was really impressed at how healthy it was. Really? I was afraid I would have to cut it all off because it was damaged but we only had to cut like, maybe an inch and a half. Anyway, it was worth every penny! The next day, Saturday, it was Landon's turn. My little boy was looking too much like a rooster. His hair can get so wild! Of course Landon cried at first but once it got going, he was fine. He had to sit on my lap and I kept asking him if he remembered that I got my hair cut the day before. He then asked me, "Did you cry?" His hair cut took about ten minutes, he got a lolipop and a toy, and we were both happy. Now it's daddy's turn. I do his haircuts aroud here though. It's really simple ;)

Helping Outside

My friends Alisha and Braeden were stopping by Friday afternoon while in town so while we were waiting for them, Landon helped Grandma rake the leafs. And then, he jumped in the pile.
