A little bit of life.

November 1st...that's the estimated guess as to when we'll be able to move in downstairs. I try not to complain but dang, it's cramped in this house! With six people and only three bedrooms, there is little room left for us to store our things. It seems like every nook and cranny is taken up. I love this house but I am getting anxious to have our "own" space. I say own with quotations because it's really my parents space in their basement that they are so graciously letting us use for a while. Love ya mom and dad!

Above is Landon's side of the closet. Trust me, nothing else will fit there...I've tried.

Landon's dresser which is next to his crib. I'm glad he isn't tall enough to reach all of the clutter. He would have a lot of fun at nap time..

You could say that Travis isn't the best roommate for a 2 year old. Everyday, I have the clear a path to get to Landon's crib. I've attempted many times to put everything that is on the floor on the bed, but it ends up on the floor when it's time for Travis to go to bed. Which would be like, 2 am. This actually isn't that bad compared to other days.

The good thing about living with so many people is that we can all share our things. I found these cd/dvd cases, covered in saw dust, downstairs. I dusted them off and filled them with some toys and boys Landon had laying around. Works for now!

Our bedroom isn't so bad. Especially since we've put up our bed, (YAY!) Wish we had more closet space though...Hi babe!

I know this is kind of ridiculous to post but we got to go shopping today and I'm pretty sure the only person who checks this daily is my sister. So anyway, I found two cute tops. The tank was 3.99 and I bought a top from DownEast. I really need some new jeans for work too. Where do people go shopping nowadays? I have a hard time finding fun things!

Oh, and sis, I change the ribbion on the magnent board you gave me at my shower. Hope that's okay!

Haunted House

Landon and I made this foam haunted house eariler this afternoon. I thought I would need a hot glue gun and wasn't sure how much Landon would be able to help but it was all pretty much stickers! He loved helping. He kept putting pieces inside of the house. There wasn't any instructions so it took me a while to actually set up the walls and roof. We had a lot of fun. Not bad for 2 bucks (clearance) from last years Halloween. There was a ton of foam stickers of ghosts, moons, and pumpkins but we just put a few.

I can't wait to carve pumpkins and take Landon trick or treating this yeat. We already bought his costume and he looks so stinkin cute in it. You will just have to wait until Halloween to see what he will be!

Wit and Wisdom of Mothers

I have been sick for the past month (it seems like) so today, I decided to take a nice hot bath while Landon was napping. I took along a book called 'Wit and Wisdom of Mothers.' My father in law gave it to me the day Landon was born. I haven't really taken the time to read through it-until today. There was some pretty cute/funny quotes in there. I love being a mom and I love my son more than life itself. Although we may have difficult days, I wouldn't trade being a mother for anything. I know there are things I need to work on but I hope I am doing a good job and that I make Landon proud.

Rocks

I found this idea online and decided to try it today. It's simple, easy, and fun! The only things you will need are flat rocks, stickers, and modge podge. I had all but the stickers so I picked some up today at the craft store that I thought Landon would like. I was going to have Landon help me make them but on the way home, he fell asleep. I think they turned out pretty cute. Landon had fun matching the cars up. I think I will make some with the alphabet too. Now the tricky part is getting Landon to NOT throw them....

Kiddie Kandids

Landon and I went to the mall with my sister eariler tonight. Just as we were rushing to leave the mall and head to Kohl's before it closed, a lady working at Kiddie Kandids asked me if I wanted a free portrait done of Landon. I hesitated and looked at Brittany but after she promised it was free and would only take a few minutes, I agreed. Landon has been sick and won't even let me take pictures at home when he is well so I was afraid he wouldn't let me go. However, the girl taking the photos started playing catch with him and he did awesome. They had some techincal difficulties trying to pull up the pictures of Landon on the computer so needless to say, we didn't make it to Kohl's but ended up with a very adorable photo of Landon! I think he looks so grown up. Now if only I had a more appropriate oulfit on him!

As we were leaving, I was given a 30% off coupon for our next visit! They told me since it was Landon's birthday recently, I could receive a free 8 by 10 and 10% off any package, which is even more cool. I was going to get his 2 year pictures done pretty soon and was going to go to JcPenny since I have a free 8 by 10 there but I like Kiddie Kandids so much more. They actually play with the kids and have fun props and everything. I got Landon's pictures done there when he was 6 months old (I also got free photos then too!) and they are too cute. So next time you take your kiddo to the mall, make sure you dress him up! The single photo is the actual 5 by 7 I took home with me. It's from the picture of Landon sitting, they just zoomed in and added a border. The coloring doesn't look so great because I took a picture of a pictures. I added the border to the two photos from their website. I love free stuff!

Nothin' like a good book.

Over the last several months, I read almost every book that Nicholas Sparks has written. Most of his books I have found at the D.I. for 50 cents. Talk about cheap entertainment! Brittany has been into them too. With most of his books, I pass them to her when I'm done if she hasn't already picked them up at the library. Anyway, I LOVE his books. He is such an easy-going writer. I usually get them read within a few days, reading at night before bed or on my lunch break at work. Today, while Landon napped and Chris was working on the basement, I was able to make a huge dent in 'Nights In Rodanthe'. I am anxious to finish it so I can go see the motion picture that just came out on September 26th. Chris agreed that he would see it with me,YAY! He usually refuses to see any kind of chick flick with me. He usually ends up liking the movie though. Of course he added that maybe he would get to go see a movie that he wanted to see..fair enough! Sometimes seeing a movie from a book I've just read kind of ruins it but for Nicholas Sparks, that isn't the case at all. My all time favorite movie is 'The Notebook' and I absolutely loved 'A Walk To Remember'. I've read 'A Message in a Bottle' but haven't seen the movie yet but am dying to. Hopefully his new movie won't let me down. I am stoked! I can't remember a time I haven't been more excited to go see a movie.

**If you haven't read any of Nicholas Sparks' books, I highly reccomend that you do. You won't be disappointed! Oh, and I have all but two or three of his books that I could loan out if I like you enough. :) The above picture is missing like one or two. Landon loves novels for some reason and runs off with them. I hope he enjoys reading when he is old enough.
