On Saturday afternoon, I had to work so my mom took the boys to my Grandparents where they "picked"pumpkins. Last year, my grandpa grew a few pumpkins and the kids got to pick one out. Well this year it didn't happen so Pa'Pa went and bought some and stuck them in his garden. HAHA! The kids got to decorate the pumpkins with little faces and afterwards, Pa'Pa and Landon made the cutest robot made out of wood. They had a blast and I wish I could of been there. At least my mom is good about taking lots of cute photos!

Utes Vs Huskies

Chris has always been a HUGE Washington Husky fan while my parents are even bigger Utah Ute fans...My mom is constantly buying the boys Utah gear but thought she should make Chris happy by buying each of the kids a Husky t-shirt. Anyways, a few weeks back, the Utes played the Huskies and Chris was all pumped up. He got the boys dressed that day and of course put Carter in his Husky tshirt. We headed to my moms and he went straight to the big screen to watch the game while I played with the kids. Carter was starting to get REALLY fussy so I fed him and he was still really pouty and DIRTY from eating. I decided to mess with Chris and put him in a Utes outfit Carter had outgrown and was at my mom's house. He went from grumpy to happy as soon as I got him dressed and ran downstairs where Chris was watching the game. I could hear Chris say "Hey! Get that off!" Needless to say, it was a sad day and the Utes lost. Just kidding, I don't really care either way and my kids can be fans of both, right?!

Each week at Landon's school, a child gets to take the class "pet" Bucky home. They are supossed to take Bucky everywhere they go and then write in a journal what things they did together. Landon showed up at my work with Bucky, just estatic it was finally his turn! He took that stuffed gorilla everywhere and was SO sweet with him. While driving in the car I could hear him talking to Bucky like he coud hear him and they were best friends. Things like "What's that Bucky? Oh. Mom? I think Bucky is hungry." He made sure Bucky went everywhere that he went. He even took him to church! Landon took such good care of his little friend that it almost made me think about someday getting Landon a puppy...ALMOST! ;)

Landon is seriously the funnest kid. One day, I came home from the store nd asked Landon to bring a roll of toilet paper to mommy and daddys batheroom. I went to use the other restroom and while I was in there, Landon said I had to hurry and come see something REALLY funny that was waiting for me. He stood outside the door, very impatient. I came out and he was laughing and told me to go look in his bed. Then he said "The toilet paper is reading a book!!" I thought he was going to pee his pants because he was laughing so hard. Oh my gosh-he is such a weirdo!

This is the quilt I made while camping in Heber. I did everything while camping except the trimming and snipping. The quilt is made from poleyster my Grandma Wagner had purchased but never got to use. It's kind of neat to have a piece of her in my living room. The colors are fun and I laugh whenever I look at it and think she bought them to make herself pants. Thanks to my Aunt Ellen and cousin Emily for helping me learn how to make these neat quilts.

Heber Valley

Towards the end of September, the boys and I headed to Heber for a little camping with the Wagner's! They have made this into a little tradition each year, this being their third. Landon was able to go last year so I was so excited to be able to take the time off and get some relaxing time with the family. There was about 25 of us and we all slept in there different cabins. We did a lot in just two short days like crafts, treasure hunt, hiking, robe course, mexican horse shoe tournament, yummy dinners, and sewing-yes, sewing! My Aunt Ellen brought my Grandma Wagners left over fabric to make rag quilt for charity. I learned how to make them and soon got to doing my very own that I got to take home. On the way home, we stopped at a little diner that had trains galore. We had such a blast and we can't wait to go back next year!

Bunk

As an early Christmas gift, Grandpa and Grandma Wagner bought the boys bunk beds! We opted to do this a few months early because we thought Carter was ready for a big boy bed and Brittany was in need of our crib-worked out perfectly! I was a little scared at first because I knew this meant Carter would be in and out of bed and it would take a while to get him to sleep. The night before we got the bunk beds, I took off the side bar in his crib and used a side rail we had for Landon. Basically it turned out just how I thought it would but he is getting better. Some nights he will come out 20 times but if I sit next to his bed, he is more willing to stay in there. I am really trying hard not to sleep WITH him because I know this can lead to no good.

Landon has known about the bunk beds coming and was absolutely thrilled about them. He was a little nervous about climbing up and down the latter but after a few times, he ran out saying "Mom, I did it! I went down the latter!"

The past month has been a rough one at our house. What I thought was just allergies turned into what I thought was just a head cold, which turned into a fever and cough that lasted a week that turned into an emergency visit to the doctor after hours. We knew something was not right when we just could not break Carter's fever. He laid there pretty much for a week, eating pretty much a few goldfish crackers a day and a sippy cup of apple juice. I have never seen a kid so sick, it was really scary! After having an x-ray done on Carter's chest, it was discovered that he had pneumonia. I felt so bad that I had not taken him in earlier but with antibiotics, he was himself within a few days. Now he is back to normal, looking for Mario all day. Thanks to our families for their support and prayers! Now I am crossing my fingers that we don't get sick like this again anytime soon...

Shark Party

After the trip to the aquarium, we had a SHARK themed party for Landon at the Wagner's. It was complete with Pa-Pa's famous "crazy" cake, homemade frosty by his mama, dinner, presents, and even a pinata! Can you believe he asked for shark toys for his birthday? So weird ;) We had so much fun celebrating with Landon and can't believe he is already 5.

Aquarium!

Landon LOVES the aquarium. He could stay there for hours and go every day. It was no surprise that when we asked what he wanted to do for his birthday, he said "Go to the aquarium!" We were orginally going to go on his actual birthday but since my dad was only in town for a few days, we went a few days before his birthday. As a special birthday treat, Landon, my dad and I got to go experience the penquin encounter. We actually got to go behind the scenes and see the penquins! They were so stinking cute. Landon was a little sad that we had to go and wanted to stay to feed the penguins. He quickly got over it when he got to go look at the sharks again. Such a fun day for an almost 5 year old!

Lagoon Day

Harmons had their annual Lagoon day the day after Landon got back from his trip in July. We went last year and I had been looking foward to it since! They had everything from cotton candy, icecream, popsicles, chips, brownies, watermelon, face painting, balloon tying, and games for the kids ALL free. Not to mention we could go on ANY ride we wanted and while Carter took a nap in the shade, Landon and I splashed around at the water park. The kids had a blast and it was so cute to see them on the rides together.

Landons Trip

This post is long overdue but I figured late is better than never! Landon went on a plane ride to Washington with my mom to visit his Pa-Pa Wagner and Brown side of the family. He left June 21st and flew home on July 3rd. It was HARD to be away from my baby for that long, but I knew he was in good hands and having a really great time. He got to do a lot of fun things like, look for big foot, watch Harry and the Hendersons over and over (My mom LOVED this hahaha), scared Pa-Pa with his sharks, went to the beach, ate yummy food, stay at his Grandparents home in Federal Way and play with his cousins, meet his new cousin Peyton for the first time, go crab fishing, eat crab, go to Rain Forest cafe, ride on a ferry boat, go to the movies, feed wild animals, see the space needle, get a hair cut, and SO much more! These aren't even half of the pictures my mom took...I might get to all of them some day but for now, enjoy!

A few hours after little Clara was born, I was able to go see meet her and even see her get first bath. She is SO beautiful and I was am so happy for my sister and that every thing went well. I could not believe (well, yes I can) how pretty my sister looked sitting in her bed holding her newest daughter. Seriously, WHO looks that good after having major surgery just hours before?!

Clara ended up having to go to NICU for a few days because of low blood sugars but was once she was doing well and home, Landon got to go see her. He was absolutely thrilled. He does so well with babies and has such a tender little heart.

Carter finally got to have his birthday party yesterday! We wanted to wait until Landon and my parents were back from Washington so we could all celebrate together. So we did just that! It was also a little party for Evie who just turned one! I had so much fun decorating for this party-mostly with stuff I already had. We had hoggie sandwiches with sides, opened presents, and ate cupcakes and icecream. A perfect party!
We were so happy to be able to celebrate Carter's birthday as a family! Chris didn't get to stay the whole time but was there while we were setting up for a bit.

I think one of the highlights of his party was that fact that his big brother was finally home. When they first saw eachother, they hugged for what seemed like a minute straight. It was really cute.

Thomas book from Grandma and Grandpa Wagner. Pa'Pa recorded his voice reading him the book so when he is far away, he can still read a story to him!

Others fun presents he received was new Nike shoes and shirt from Uncle Travis, side walk chalk and money for his bank from the Taks, and a ride on bike from the Wagner grandparents, a Thomas boat for the bath from his big brother, and of course, the train table. Grandma brought his SUPER cool Seattle Sounders jersey and matching ball from Washington that everyone couldnt wait for him to wear :)

Great Grandma and Grandpa Mayne gave Carter a Elmo book that has a timer on it that helps him get ready for bed along with a new Elmo hand towel and jammies!

Carter isn't really into cake but really likes dipping things so he shared with Travis, dipping his gumball into the frosting. Evie shared too :)

Carter's birthday fell on a Wednesday so on Friday before Chris worked, we all went to get Carter his birthday present-a train table! Since Landon was out of town with his Grandma, we thought it would be a good idea to get it all set up before he came home. That way, Carter would have something fun to play with and have some alone time with it since the boys like to fight over everything. I had no idea how much time it would take to put together...it took over 5 hours but it was so worth it.

Birthday @ Boondocks!

For Carter's 2nd birthday, we took him to Boondocks fun center! He had a nasty virus and an infection so we almost didn't go but once he started to perk up a little bit, we headed out before Chris had to head to work.

We played video games for a few minutes while we waited for Uncle Travis to arrive. Carter really liked the car games.

It was SO stinking hot outside!

We pretty much went just for the miniture golf since Carter loved it so much the last time we went. Sometimes he uses his feet to get the ball in :)

It was 100 degrees out, I swear so after golf, we went back inside to play some more video games and roller ball. Poor Carter was sweaty and getting tired but he had a lot of fun.

It was really nice to spend a few hours with Carter and have that one on one time with him that we don't usually get. Hope you had a fun day little guy!

Here are some things that went on in the June. Some pictures were taken on my phone so they aren't the best but gives ya'll an idea of what we've been up to for a month!

Holding hands in the car. My kids can be pretty dang sweet sometimes!

Carter thinks he is still a little baby sometimes. I feel the same way about him!

We visited Daddy A LOT at work. We love going to his new store and getting a yummy snack or just to say "HI" for a few minutes.
Cheese! Carter is such a little cheese ball. We think he is pretty cute!

Brothers :) Most of the time, they get a long great.

Chris and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary with Dairy Queen (while the kids slept) which for us was a special treat!!

Story time with Daddy before bed.

Chris loves to take the boys to his work and buy them a little toy or treat. I think their favorite thing ever is the plastic ball and bat. Landon would stay out all day and night "practicing" if he could. He can really hit that ball!

C is sleeping without a pacifier! For the most part, he doesnt need his binky at all but every once and a while, we give it to him when he is having a serious melt down. So maybe once a week!

Landon transitioned from a toddler seat to a booster! We think he finally weighs enough...we think! I was a little sad at first but Landon LOVES sitting in his big boy seat.

The weather finally warmed up (for a day) and the kids and I took full advantage of it!

Grandma Wagner took Landon and a friend to the aquarium. Landon has been obsessed with sharks and was so excited to go. He insisted on wearing his shark tank :)

Carter finally got to bust out his cool shades he got from Easter and man, he looked cool!

After work one night, I met Chris and the kids, my mom and Travis at Boondocks to play a little miniture golf. It was Carter's first time ever and he LOVED every bit of it (except the Tiki guy who spit water out at us at the end if you missed the shot)

After mini-golf we all shared a yummy pizza and played video games. Little boy heaven!

Uncle Cody and Aunt Brittany brought their new cotton candy maker to the Wagners and we got to be the first to try it out. It was a huge hit!

We had a BBQ to celebrate Fathers day at the Wagners. Chris AND my dad could not be there but we thought of them!

Carter usually will only fall asleep in his crib and hardly never in my arms, car seat, or stroller. It's great when we are home, not so great when we are out and about and he misses his nap. On the way home from my parents tonight, he fell asleep around 6:30. I felt bad because he missed dinner and only ate half of a string cheese before zonking out. However, I LOVE carrying this little boy into the house while he is out. He is pretty sweet.

P.S. He woke up about an hour later, pooped, and then got something to eat. Now he is sleeping, I hope, and I didn't give him his pacifier. This is night (and day) two without it. YAY!

Day Out With Thomas!

Today they had a "Day Out With Thomas" in Heber and Chris and I were able to take the boys! It was a little pricey but the kids had a great time. We went on a 20-25 minute train ride and then walked around to the different little booths that they had. The kids carried around a little map and once they got four stamps from one of the workers, they got a little prize. There was a fun gift shop with WAY over priced Thomas stuff. We opted to not buy anything since we are buying Carter a train table for this birthday next month! I of course took a million pictures and wanted SO badly to get a good picture of the kids in front of Thomas. I was not happy that you had to pay to do this and wait in a long line. They had Thomas completely blocked off! So I tried to snag one once it drove past...kind of worked :) HAD to get cotton candy for the hour ride home. Can you say STICKY?!

Cutting Warriors

The kids LOVE helping my mom when she does any yard work outside. The other day, Uncle Travis was digging around a tree in the backyard and they kids were eager to help :) When I asked Landon if I could take a picture, he held up his rake and said "We're the cut Warriors!" Funny kids. Maybe someday we will have our own backyard and the kids can do all of the yardwork for me :)

Final Game

Soccer is now over for Landon :( There was only a total of five games because it kept snowing but we are so glad we signed Landon up. He had a lot of fun. For his last game, it was extra special because Grandpa Wagner got to come see him play. It was a little unorganized and kids were just goofing off but Landon still had a good time. Hopefully we can get him on a team next year-we love watching him play!

Grandpa's Funeral

On Friday, May 6th, we had a funeral for my Grandfather, Fred Wagner. Although it was hard to say goodbye, we are so happy that he was able to finally reunite with his sweetheart, our Grandmother who passed away 9 years ago. It was such a beautiful funeral and the spirit was so strong. The love that was filled in that day was overwelming. I am so lucky to have such an amazing family, and it would not of happned without him. See you later Grandpa.

Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully in his sleep April 30, 2011.

Fred was born March 18, 1931 to Daniel Ray and Edna Wagner. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married his sweetheart Elaine Cline on June 12, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. Fred attained his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from USC and worked his entire life as an engineer, including 15 years as an associate professor at the University of Utah.

Fred loved sports and coached many teams. He and Elaine enjoyed season tickets at the University of Utah in football, basketball and gymnastics. They both coached and umpired slow-pitch softball and basketball. As a member of the LDS Church, Fred served in many positions including Bishop. His ability to teach was his passion both in and out of the church.

Survived by his children, Craig (Ellen), Marvin (Pamela), Joleen (Mark) Black, Lori, Daniel (Laurie); 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Winnifred (Bill) Cardinal and brother, Karl (Rachel). Preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6th, 2:00 p.m. at Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary, 4670 So. Highland Dr. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to services. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park. Learning

I got a super good deal on three different learning books a few months ago. I finally got them out last night and I helped Landon do about about 10 pages. Each page had him practice writing a letter of the alphabet and then he filled in the blank on the bottom of the page to spell out simple works like dog, car, and apple. He had SO much fun doing this. It was just as fun for me to watch things click in his head as he figured things out. I always knew I had such a smart little boy but I think if we work with him, he will be reading in no time. Watch out Harvard, here we come!!!! ;)

Easter 2011

The night before Easter, after Carter had gone to bed, Landon and I colored Easter eggs. He could hardly contain himself, waiting for the eggs to boil. He loves watching the water turn from white to color after you drop in the little tablet. His favorite is using the little egg holder and stirring the cup after the egg has been placed.

Easter was a really special one this year. Landon now gets the concept of the true meaning of Easter. He sang in sacrament at church with the other primary children and it is so fun to see their sweet little spirits.

Unfortunately, I did not get pictures of the kids with their baskets from the Easter Bunny. They each received a few eggs with M&M's inside, bubbles, Legos for Landon and a Thomas Train in a big egg for Carter. The boys right before church in their new pink polos. They looked SO handsome!!

After church, we headed over to my parents where my mom cooked a yummy Easter dinner. Then we headed to Salt Lake to see my grandparents. We always have a good time visiting and the boys just adore their Pa-Pa Red Truck!

Easter Egg Hunt

My mom's neighborhood has an annual Easter egg hunt egg. Since we have moved here, we have not missed one yet! Since Landon had a soccer game, we missed the first couple of houses but he jumped right in. Carter stayed with Grandma, Cody, and Brittany and they helped him get started. At each house that participates, the kids get to find 2 eggs. I thought it was so sweet that Landon got 2 eggs for Evie who was sitting in the wagon with her bucket. This is the first time Carter is old enough to participate and he had a blast!

22 Months!

Our baby boy turned 22 months old yesterday! Carter got a hair cut just for the occasion from his mama. I plopped him in front of the portable DVD player, turned on Toy Story and went to town. He looks SO handsome! After that, we went outside to play. Carter loves to be outside and tries to escape every chance he gets.

Sunday Stroll

Sundays are normally spent at my parents house. A few Sundays ago, the weather was way too nice to not be outside. We took the kids for a walk and they had so much fun! Carter and Evie had a great time in the wagon. They could of stayed out all night long. Landon was such a good helper, pushing the wagon and getting the toys for the babies as they dropped them :)

Soccer!

Last Saturday, Landon had his very first soccer game! Our little super star scored the first goal of the season along with two after that! He played like a champ, running around the field like he was born to do it! We didn't know how he would do since he had only had one mini practice with other kids but he did great! He was so eager to please his coach. After he kicked the ball, we heard him run up his coach and say "Was that a good kick coach?" So cute! We were so so proud of him! Everytime he or anyone else on his team would score a goal, he would run the the other end of the field with his hands in the air-it was hilarious! It was a very exciting day for us-we had been waiting to sign Landon up for soccer and we are so glad we did! Good job Landon!

After Landons first practice, he was out within a few minutes in the car. Practice ended around 7 and he slept ALL night coming out only once to go back to sleep on the floor. Yes, he slept in his soccer clothes.

Washington Getaway

A few weeks ago, my mom, Landon, Carter, and I took a road trip to Washington. My dad needed some furniture for his apartment in Everett. We also took some belongings to a friend who just moved from Utah to Washington as well. The first day, we drove to Nampa Idaho and stayed in a hotel there. It was AWESOME to break up the trip and relax a little bit. The kids were SUPER excited to get in the pool. Carter loved his swimming diaper and was mad when I had to put a normal diaper on :) The next day, we drove the rest of the way to Washington. Landon stayed for a couple of days with my parents in Everett. They went out and did all sorts of fun things like go to the museum, beach, zoo, and Landon went on his very first ferry ride! He even go to sit and talk with the captain-what a lucky guy! While he had fun with Grandma and Grandpa, I took Carter to stay with my dear friend Mandy and her family on Whidbey Island. I always have SO much fun with her and she really is like a sister to me. Carter was really digging their IPAD and all their other cool electronics and toys. We mostly stayed around town and did a little shopping. We were kind of sad that the weather was bad because it is gorgeous there and we wanted to play outside. It was fun anyway though and always hard to leave. Her kids are just the cutest things and I miss them when we are apart! After Carter and I spent a few days with her, we got to spend a day and a half with my dad.It was so good to visit with him. The kids really miss their papa back at home. We took a little trip to Seattle and just walked around for a while. It was weird being back but also a really good time. We can't wait to go back again soon!

Excercise Room

The boys always have such a good time at Grandma and Grandpa Wagner's. The other day, they decided the "exercise room" was the place to be! I swear they could play in there for HOURS and exercise equipment is all that's in there.

I don't know where Carter learned about microphones but he kept walking over to these handles and singing into them. It was the cutest thing!

Grandmas Visit

Grandma Brown flew in from Washington to spend this last weekend with us! We had a lot of fun with her. Right away, Landon had to show her all of his Star Wars "guys" and Carter warmed up to her really fast. The first night, I took her and the boys toBarnes and Noble (Grandma favorite place!) and then Cafe rio. The rest of the time we pretty much stayed home. She loves to just watch the boys play. When they were in bed, she and I watched ridiculous movies like Dinner with the Smucks, Grown ups, and Date Night. It was a lot of fun to just spend time with her. Can you tell that we have a proud Grandmother on our hands? The cutest thing was how much she kept compliamenting Carter on his blue eyes. It cracked me up when she took the close up picture. Landon tried on his soccer cleats and shinguards and she had to get a picture and then send one via text to everyone at home. SUCH a proud Grandma!!!

Pa-Pa is temporally moving to Washington for work and we are very sad! We have been trying to see him as much as possible before he goes. My dad was working out of town when Carter was born but flew out a few days later. They have been buddies since!

I have been making a ton of these flowers lately. I have also been selling them at the children's store where I work and they will soon go in my friends photo studio-very exciting! This is Carter's new play pen...or that's what he thinks! I try to keep the kids toys in their room and not in the living room but these books are the exception. Chris brought them home from work one night ($2 a piece!) so I tucked them away in the ottoman. When I was trying to clean the next day, I showed Carter where the books were, thinking he would pull them out and look at them on the floor. I looked over and he was INSIDE the ottoman. He got mad that I would not close it with him in it. Silly boy.

For as long as I have known Chris, we have wanted to save up our money and buy a new couch. We moved (5 times) and it just never happnened. So with part of our income tax return, we splurged and picked out this beauty. It arrived on Monday and we have been in love. I didn't even mind that the delivery guy called me at 7:20am to tell me he would be there soon. If you know me at all, you know I don't get up for nothin! It's so nice that our whole family plus some can fit at one time and watch movies or play games.

I went out in search of a good pair of shoes for Landon and could not RESIST a pair of rainboots for both of my boys. Oops! Carter will bring you his boots to put on any chance he gets. It is the cutest thing. Even though they are an extra small(4/5) they are still pretty big on Carter. He has trouble walking in them but loves them! When I told Landon he could pick out a pair, he grabbed the firemen ones and said "Now I can jump in puddles, Mom!"

Valentines!

Chris and I both had to work on Valentine's so we didn't have anything planned. Money is tight and I knew this so it didn't bother me. I had the kids make the cutest Valentine's day cards and we set them on Chris' nightstand with his favorite-a bottle of coca cola. He was overjoyed! I raced the boys to my mom's house and then to work. I was late to work, go figure, mostly because I wanted and failed to get a good picture of Carter in his "Future Heart Throb" jammers. It was a long day. I ended up having to cover for someone an extra little while longer. The only good thing about work was my sister and her baby came to visit me. I really enjoyed that. I called my mom and told her I was sorry that I was so late and that I would bring her home a treat-chips and queso from Cafe rio! It was SO worth the 40 minute wait. Plus they gave me a free soda and quesedilla for Landon. I ran to the dollar store (which was next door) and bought Landon and Carter some balloons and candy. I got to my mom's around 7pm and Landon was in the tub. He was so happy to see me and kept thanking me for the gifts. Eariler I text my mom and asked her to ask Landon if he would be my Valentine. She text me back and said he had replyed"I love Brooke!" So me and my Valentine enjoyed our snacks over candlelight. I took the kids to surprise their daddy at work and on the way home, my date had fallen asleep. Carter was very sleepy in his jammies so I didn't want him to walk. I wish I could of gotten a picture of me trying to carry Landon, Carter, diaper bag, purse, and balloons, and left over chips. Needless to say, Landon woke up and we got to watch Toy Story 3 together. A long, boring, dull day turned out to be one of my best Valentines because I got to see my sweet kids and visit with my husband for a few moments. I really don't need chocolates of jewelery or a fantastic date to be have a happy Valentines and my boys reminded me of that.

Did I mention my mom had to boys make the cutest banners EVER? I loved them! I couldn't stop laughing at the pictures of the boys with blocks in front of them that said "Be my Valentine." They seriously are the SWEETEST!!! You betcha the banners are hangning up in our home!

The LIttle Things

Sometimes I think the boys do things just to remind me to enjoy the little things and to not fret about the small ones. After a long day of taking care of Landon and Carter by myself, I climbed into bed only to discover toy cars under my sheets. Almost every time, there is some kind of toy there and sometimes left over crumbs or a binky. Dispite my day, I smile and go to the boy's rooms to kiss their sleepy heads. I try to remind myself that they are only little for so long. I try to remind myself that I am going to miss this. I am going to miss everything about my sweet 19 month old and 4 1/2 year old sons. They are my whole world.

When I was trying to get our computer set up, I asked Landon to sit on my bed and wait for me to put on a movie for us. He kept talking and asking me questions about the computer. Finally I said, "Landon, I really need you to be quiet for a second so I can figure this out." He paused and then replyed, "Mom, when I'm big and grown up, I can do these things for you." I think I stared at him for a minute, tears welling in my eyes, wondering where this big boy had come from. I stopped what I was doing, gave him hugs and kisses, thanked him and thenr anto get my camera.

Our family is obsessed with the movie, "Dispicable me." We love the part where Gru asks his assistant why is he so old. So Landon, why are you SO old?

Late one night, I rumaged through my craft drawers and found some pink satin left over from a blanket I made a few years ago. I also had pearls in my bead kit so I started making these flowers. I just love them. I wanted to learn how to make them for my niece who is due to make her appereance this May! The best part-they are super easy to make! I also made some headbands out of nylon and they look darling together. I made this big one for a girl I work with for a photoshoot she was doing. (I did a little trimming after I saw this pic) I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out. Anyway, something fun to me to do while the boys are fast asleep. Now if I only had a daughter to spoil her with these...;)

Well Baby Check Up

Carter went to the doctor's yesterday for his 18 month old well baby check up. Never again will we schedule an early morning appointment! My kids are definitely not morning people. Anyway,the doctor said he was the healthiest kid he had seen in a while. We feel completely blessed! Also, we were more than pleased that his ear infections are completely gone! Here are his stats at 19 months:

Hair

I am the person who never has a good haircut. I don't think I have ever gotten a haircut that I go home feeling good with. I chopped 8 inches off in November because my hair was absolutely FRIED from perming it. I like it long but I feel like I did the same thing everyday...either straight or in a pony tail. Anyway, my hair is too long right now to look good with my hair cut (an a-line) but I don't want to go cut it all off again if I am going to grow it back out. Half up is pretty much the only way I can wear it now without it looking dumb. What should I do?!

We Are Moving!

Our lease is up and we are moving! We were going to sign a lease for 6 more months but once we saw these apartments (same owners) we wanted out of our townhome asap. It's not very much more a month and it's got more space. Plus, no more running toilets, leaky dishwasher, and stairs! This place was great to us and got us in right away on the bottom floor. We didn't realize we had to give a 60 day notice but they hooked us up since the bottom floor goes fast. Of course we wish we could say we were moving into our OWN home but for now, we are excited for this new apartment. Hopefully the next time we move, we will be able to say that we bought our first house :) 12 more days and we are OUTTA HERE!

Walking

Carter is nearly 19 months old and is still not fully walking. He can take a few steps but then falls to his knees to crawl. He does great holding on to a finger, furniture, or if he has something to push but otherwise, not so much. We can't figure out if he is just being lazy or if he is having balance issues. Some days he will do well doing lots of steps and some days he won't even take ONE step.

His feet are pretty small for his age so think maybe that has something to do with that. When we go in for his 18 month old check up in a few weeks, hopefully we can get this figured out. I never thought I would have such a late walker! At least we know that he CAN do it. These pictures were takin a few days after Christmas.

I was trying to get a good photo of Carter's new outfit from his cousins in Montana. At first

Carter would NOT hold still and I figured there would be a ton of pictures on my camera to delete but I think they are fun. They show how he is doing as of now. After a few minutes, I did get a picture of Carter STANDING on his own, being still, holding onto my hairclip :)

Sickies

If you are wondering why I have not blogged since Christmas, it's because we have been battling a nasty virus and are just now getting back to normal. Carter got hit the worst and we ended up taking him to the doctor the other day. He had a temperature of almost 102 and the start of infections in his ears. After two days of antibodics, he is almost completely back to his normal self-thank goodness!! We are more than READY for summer!!!

Carter spent most of the day fussing, refusing to nap. I tried to hand him off to people but he just wanted his mom. Look at that face! How could I say no?!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was filled with lots and lots of cuddling. Out of no where, Carter and Landon got what I thought was a fever. After some tylenol, they were both a bit perkier so we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Wagner's for dinner. After that, Grandma and Grandpa had a special book for Landon, Carter, and Evie-the Night Before Christmas! Then, of course, the kids opened their new jammies. Nothin better than new, soft jammies on Christmas morning.

We have a tradition of setting up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. This year, we broke that tradition and went out and bought a tree about a week BEFORE Thanksgiving. We just couldn't wait! Another tradition we have is new ornaments for the kids that has something to do with the kids that year. Landon got a Santa ornament because this year, he knows exactly what is going on with Christmas and Santa and memorized and sings "Santa Claus is Coming To Town." Carter got a penguin because for some reason, he is obsessed with the penguins from the movie Madagascar.

I turned 24 years old on November 6th and was completely spoiled by my boys! Chris let me pick out my birthday present -a plum colored purse and a mustard colored wallet. Then he brought me home a cake from Harmon's for breakfast. That same day, Landon helped Pa-pa make a crazy cake with purple and pink colors in the middle. Landon was so proud of the cake! We just had to get a picture together. He was so cute this year...since he had no idea that I went out and picked out my birthday present, he thought that I didn't get a gift from him. As I was opening up a gift from my mom, he came up to me, had a pouty lip and said "Mom, I'm sorry I couldn't get you a pink DS." I about died! How cute is that? He thinks that everything that is pink is something I will want. Anyway, can you believe I'm 24 already? I feel like I am getting so old!

Halloween-ie

I am a bit over due with posting but better late than never! We look forward to Halloween every year but unfortunately, I got sick with the flu a few days before. The day before Halloween, I felt good enough to attend my parents "Truck Or Treat" at their church parking lot. It's the same concept of going door to door trick or treating but there, we went car to car. Afterwards, there were hot dogs and hot chocolate, and a costume and pumpkin contest. My parents decorated were retired tourists. It was pretty funny. It was a good way to spend Halloween Eve :)

On Halloween, the flu finally caught up with Chris so he was not able to take the kids trick or treating. It was raining pretty hard so I took Landon with a huge beach umbrella and Carter stayed inside with Uncle Travis. Landon went trick or treating for about 15 minutes because it was just too cold and he didn't like that. That was okay with me-better luck next year! At least we got to see our cute kids in their cute costumes. Incase you didn't notice, Landon was a knight and Carter was a "dragon." It was actually a dinosaur costume but close enough :)

Pumpkin Carving!

This year, each of the great grandkids got a special home grown pumpkin from their Pa Pa Red Truck. Landon and Carter went and picked up the pumpkins (out of the snow!) and then later that night, Grandma Wagner had a pumpkin carving party. Landon, Carter, and Evie got to decorate their pumpkins with cute little faces. Chris was sick with the flu so I observed and made sure the donuts and apple cider tasted okay ;) Landon slept through the party but woke up just in time to see the pumpkins all done. Of course he got a goody bag from Grandma too!

Last weekend, Chris and I packed the boys up and headed to Seattle Washington. Chris' parents were moving so Chris wanted to help. He spent most of the weekend using his muscles while I stayed with my good friend Mandy and her two little boys at her inlaws home. The weekend was too short but it was so nice to be back "home." I always have so much fun with Mandy and it's sad every single time it's time to go home. Landon had a good time with her almost two year old, Brady, and I could not get enough of her 4 month old, Connor. Connor made me want 10 more babies! He is the most well behaved, smilest baby I have ever seen. Landon even got him to do more than a few belly laughs. We didn't get to see everyone that we wanted to but there will be more road trips coming up.

Gardner Village

A couple of weeks ago, we visited Gardner Village in South Jordan. As a family, we look foward to going every year. This is our 4th year going-a new tradition! We love walking around and looking at all of the witches and Halloween decorations with the kids. It was especially fun to watch the two boys and how different they react to the life like witches. Landon didn't really want anything to do with them but Carter would get up close, sometimes touch them, and growl. It's a good way to get us in the Halloween spirit and it always does!

The Zoo!

Grandma Wagner and Uncle Travis took the boys to the zoo while Mom was at work. What a fun thing for them! I was a little bummed that I missed Carter's first time going to the zoo. Then again, I feel extremely blessed to know that they are in good hands while I am away trying to bring home the bacon. Looks like they had a really good time. I am so glad that Grandma tries to take as many pictures as she can!

While Mom is at work, Landon and Carter get to spend a lot of time with Grandma Wagner. She is always taking them out to do fun things and teaching them along the way. One day, I came home to pick up the boys and the first thing I noticed was a pile of what looked like small rolled breadsticks on the island in the kitchen. Apparently, Landon made cookies with Grandma and while he did make star, pumpkin, and other shapes, he also made "snakes." They were yummy snakes too! I love the pictures of Landon in the apron. Such a good little helper!

Allergy Tests

The boys were retested for their food allergies this last Thursday. Carter's test came back positive for an egg allergy and Landon's peanut allergy test came back negative. We were sent for further testing in the lab where Landon had his blood drawn which was not fun. His blood test came back with high results for the allergy so both boys are allergic to peanuts and eggs :( We will retest in 6 more months. Until then, we will just have to keep on avoiding those foods.

Carter can walk! Well, with a little help from his push toy! He does a good job sitting on it too :) He all of a sudden just started walking with it over the last week or two. He used to only be able to "walk" on his knees or stand and fall once the toy started moving. We are so proud of him. Hopefully this means he will be walking on his own...and soon!

I can't believe how different Carter looks with his locks gone! It was a hard decision for me and just wanted a trim but went ahead with a whole haircut instead. He looks so much older and I feel like he just lost his babyhood. He enjoyed getting his hair cut and didn't cry even once. Such a brave, handsome little guy!

Landon needed a hair cut too! This is the first time he didn't fuss when he was getting it done. What made it different this time? Oh he had a video game to play!
