Tents

Chris loves laying on the bed with Landon and making 'tents.' When Landon was a baby, his favorite thing was to have the sheets thrown up over and over above his head. He would just giggle and giggle and Chris would do it forever. Now Carter is at that age where he is starting to like things like that. So today, Chris and Landon introduced Carter to his very first little tent with Landon's truck blanket. As I was getting ready, I could hear Landon and Carter's cute little laughs and Chris making funny noises. It was really cute. Daddy sure loves his boys!

Green Eggs and Ham

We do not like green eggs and ham, we do not like them Sam I am! Well, maybe we just don't like eggs! We found out on Wednesday that Carter may be allergic to them. For breakfast, I let Carter have a few tiny bites of my scrambled eggs and a few hours later, his whole body was bright red. The above photo does not even show how bad it was. When Landon was about the same age, the same thing happened to him when we gave him a peanut butter sandwich. We gave Landon some Benadryl and it went away completely but when we told his doctor about it at his next check up, they were really concerned and told us we should of taken him in. Sometimes with allergic reactions, their throat can start to close up and make it hard to breathe. So right away, I called to see if we could get Carter into the doctors. They told us they had an hour in a half wait so I took him to an Instant Care place and they told us they didn't take our insurance. They told me if he looks like he isn't having a hard time breathing, he should be alright waiting to be seen at our doctors office. I ran out in tears because I just felt so bad for little Carter! He kept scratching his face and I know how bad hives can itch. Anyway, we were able to get him seen right away by a pediatrician and he was hooked up a little machine to get his oxygen levels. They checked his throat and told me that he was breathing just fine. Carter was given a dose of Benadryl and we were on our way. A few hours later, his perfect baby skin was back. Guess we need to be more careful about what we share with him. It's hard because he loves food SO much! Hopefully he will grow out of his allergy by the time he is a toddler. It would not be fun to have two kids allergic to two different foods, that's for sure!

Cookie Monster

Aunt Brittany came over with a package of pink cookies that she had left over from work. Carter was staring at it and so I gave him a little peice, looked away, and he stole it! So that's when he had his first cookie. When I took it away because he was getting all messy, he started to cry. That boy knows what he wants! Daddy brought home over 20 boxes of girlscout cookies one night and I thought he was crazy. He bought 9 boxes of the same old fashioned short bread and siad he thought the kids would like them. I think Carter does...what do you think?
P.S. Do you like his bib? I made it! Okay, well I just crocheted around the edges but I was pretty excited about it.

Daddy's Day Off

Chris has been working crazy hours lately leaving him exhausted. He finally had a day off on St Patricks day so we got to spend some family time together. I totally forgot it was St. Patrick's Day until my sister showed up in green and pinched us! Anyway, we decided to go to the pond by our house to feed the ducks. My mom gave us some old peanuts to feed them and they did not like them. I wasn't sure if you could even feed them that but now we know! We only had two pieces of bread to bring and by the time we found where the ducks were, Landon didn't have very much to give them. It was nice to be out in the sunshine together-ducks or no ducks!

Carter got to wear his first baseball cap. Didn't know what to think of it at first but once he saw everything outside, he didn't care. He LOVED looking at the water and ducks. He was smiling and kicking
like crazy.
Oh, there they are!

Carter is at such a fun age. Aunt Brittany cannot get enough of him!
Landon's "gun" that I found for him. Looks like a dead bird but I promise it's not!

Soccer!

It feels like it is summer here in Utah the past few days! We have been dying to get out of the house so yesterday we headed over to Grandma's and Grandpa's and they suggested we get out his soccer net. Those smart people.Landon had SO much fun running around, kicking the ball, and just playing with Pa-Pa. Carter had a blast watching on the porch, playing with his toys. I'll admit that I don't take the kids out as much as I should but it's hard when it's cold and we have been sick. I really hope we can get Landon on a soccer team pretty soon. It makes me almost cry thinking about it. How cute would that be? Landon wouldn't know what to do with himself-he would be SO happy. Carter would be his biggest cheerleader too!

It's A Girl!

It's a girl!
No, we are NOT expecting another little baby but Brittany and Cody sure are! I am going to have a little neice! That little girl is going to be so stinking spoiled. I seriously cannot wait! Especially because I can enjoy this little bundle and not have to go through the labor, healing, and up all nights. Even Landon was super excited when I told him he was going to have a girl cousin. He got the biggest smile on his face, threw his arms up, and screamed "Yay!" It's going to be SO MUCH FUN!

Since they are having a girl and didn't need a boy crib bedding set, they let Carter use the one they had and it is so darling! I know Carter could care less but it's fun for me and it matches the colors of Landon's comforter. I only wish I could paint the walls :( I think it's time to head to the craft store soon and do some fun projects! Carter slept on his tummy for nap time today and I thought it was the cutest thing. He has never done that. Isn't it funny that he only has one sock on? When I laid him down, he had two. That little kid is always pulling them off!

See you in July little girl!

My First Perm

Well, I actually did it! It was time for a change and I got my first perm. While I was in Seattle, Mandy and I were watching 'Four Weddings' on TLC. One of the girls had curly hair and we both were commenting on how we wish that ours looked like that and how easy it would be to do. Mandy's mom is a hair dresser and owns her own little salon at home. She told me that she could get it to look like that. We waited a few days and then we BOTH decided to go ahead and do it! Since Mandy is pregnant, her hair didn't take as well so her hair is more of a "scrunched" look and it looks so cute on her. My hair on the other hand went crazy! I could not believe how curly it went. I'm still getting used to it but LOVE how easy it is to do in the morning. Takes me only a couple of minutes. Definately helps when I've got two, (sometimes three) boys who need all of my time!

Better Than Christmas

I know this is a little silly to blog about but I am just super super excited that we finally have our own washer and dryer! We have been without our own since we moved in December. This is a pretty big deal for our family. I have been looking online, trying to find the best deal but actually found this set for a pretty decent price at Costco. I love the look of the front loader washing machines but for now, this is just fine for us! It is so nice to just put a load in and be at home instead of packing up the kids and taking a whole day to do a weeks whole of laundry at my parents. I'm sure they were getting tired of it too! I think for the first time in my life, I was actually couldn't wait to do a load of laundry once they were set up.

Thanks to my daddy for coming over and setting them up!

Here is Grandma Wagner (pre surgery) and Landon 'helping' us shop for washer and dryers.

Washington Trip

Well, the kids and I made it back alive from our two week vacation in Washington! We were able to drive up with Travis' friend and fly home on March 9Th. So we have been home for almost a week. The kids surprised me and did great on the 14 hour drive. No, Carter does not have teeth yet! They are just puffs-his favorite snack. While we were there, we did a lot of fun things like....

Visit family! We stayed with my friend Mandy at her mom's place except for the first night. My sister in law, Erin, and her family stayed in Seattle for one extra day just to see us for a few hours. It was their first time meeting Carter so it was pretty special.

Cousin Merissa
Saying goodbye. The Uths left the morning after we arrived.
Snuggling with Grandma Brown

Aunt Kim and cousin Trey

Shopping! Not the kids favorite thing to do but luckily two malls we went to had play areas for the kids. They had so much fun. Poor Carter had to just sit with mom.

The kids did pretty well playing together. Sometimes Landon would not want to share but Brady was such a good sport about it. He loved Landon and it was so cute to watch. I can't wait until Carter is old enough to really play with his big brother. Pretty soon, Brady will be a big brother himself! Play with Joe! Carter LOVED Mandy's husband so much. Every time he looked at him, he would get the biggest smiled and the first time Joe picked him up, he started snuggling. Take a bath in the sink for the first time! Thanks for helping me Mandy ;)We also got to go and visit Great Grandma Ross one day in Seattle. She was so happy to see the kids and of course had a little surprise for them when we got there. Landon thought it was pretty cool that she had a pink toilet. He still talks about it!

Sleeping was kind of a problem...mostly for Landon! Carter did great in the play pen while Landon and I slept on a blow up mattress. Carter went to bed at a decent time almost every night where as Landon did NOT want to go to sleep. He would CONSTANTLY come out of his room and I would have to march him up the stairs. I was getting sweaty because there was a lot of stairs! We even tried putting up the baby gate but he crawled right over it. Then when we put it higher so he could not get over, he started screaming and woke up poor Carter so they were BOTH screaming. Oh boy, fun fun time!

We went to some really yummy restaurants. This particular Mexican place made the kids balloons! How fun!
And we is the plane ride home. I can't believe I flew with two kids all by myself. It was pretty stressful getting on when all of my bags and Carter in the Bijorn but once we took off, it wasn't so bad. We did have an accident right when we were landing and I felt so bad because Landon was a good boy and told me but the seatbelt sign was on! I thought he would be fine because he asked to go about 1/2 hour into the flight so we went in the TINY restroom. Of course it was right when Carter settled down and went to sleep! It was a fun trip and it was good to see everyone but I'm not sure if I'll ever go on a trip without Chris with such YOUNG kids. Mandy also had to do it on her own because we stayed at her mom's. She's also 6 months pregnant! I can't believe I didn't get even one picture with Mandy. How silly is that?

8 Months

Carter will be 9 months in less than two weeks so I am a little slow to getting around to post. I can't believe how fast the time in flying by. I feel like he should still be a newborn but I know he'll be crawling and then running around in no time. Carter has turned into such a good baby! He is so fun to be around. He is constantly smiling and laughing-mostly at his big brother. He loves to be held, cuddled, bathed, and he LOVES food. If you are eating something, he will stare at it and sometimes open his mouth until you share. Carter CAN sit up but still falls over occassionally. He is rolling around like crazy and you can tell he just wants to get up and go. I know that he is going to be the kind of kid that gets into everything. If Carter has something in his reach, he will put it in his mouth and it doesn't matter what it is. Total opposite of Landon! I'm sad that Carter is growing up so so fast but I am also looking forward to it as well. We just love our Carter baby SO much!

Handsome Boys

I am in Seattle right now with the boys staying at my friend Mandy's house. Her mom has an awesome camera so when the sun came out for a bit today, we took advantage by getting some awesome pictures.
Aren't these kids handsome?! I can 't wait to print these and frame these in our living room. I can't decide which one of Landon I like more-they are both turned out well. Mandy did such a good job. Helps that the kids couldn't be any more cute too ;)

This is Mandy's 15 month old son, Brady. So cute.

[I will post more about our two week trip when we fly home on the 9th. I forgot my camera cord!!]
