Thanksgiving {2008}

Old School

My family received an Nintendo 64 for Christmas YEARS and YEARS ago. My mom found it in her storage room and she had been searching everywhere in stores to find a controller so we could play. Finally, she found a controller at a used game store. We have been having a blast playing Mario Cart. If only we had another controller to play against eachother!

Moving In

We are finally settled in the basement but these are the only pictures I have from the day we started moving everything from a few weeks ago. Aside from it being pretty chilly down there, we love it. It has so much space! We thought we had way too much stuff when we moved from Washington but now looking at the basement, it seems a little bare because we don't have enough to fill it.

Goodbye LEAVES

Chris told my mom he would rake the leaves this weekend. Landon and I decided to "help." I really just watched and took pictures but Landon did help smash the leaves in the garbage can :)

I think this picture is cute because you can tell Chris is laughing. He thought it was a little ridiculous that I wanted to take pictures of him raking. Of course I do, babe!

Here is my first belly shot at about 8 weeks. In the last few days, it has really started to poke out. It's a little embarassing to me that I am showing this fast but I just keep trying to tell myself that it's my second pregnancy and I wasn't tiny to begin with. What's a girl to do?

Utes Game {Pre-season}

I think the popcorn was Landon's favorite part.
Landon and my Daddy just taking a little snooze at half time. I was shocked that Landon fell asleep with all of the loud noises!

GO UTES!

No Due Date {YET}

I went to my first prenatal appointment today at St. Marks Hospital. I met my OBGYN, Breanne Taylor, for the first time and LOVED her. She's young, fun, and super nice. Chris had to work so my sweet sister showed me where it was at and came in with me. When we first got there I was weighed (YIKES!), gave a urine sample, had my temperate and blood pressure taken, and then they took some information history. After than, I had some blood work done and then got to know my Doctor. Later she did a physical exam but no ultrasound or heartbeat yet, darn! I was hoping they would do one this early just to see how far along I am. Good news is that I get the ultrasound done during my next appointment and we will be able to hear the heartbeat then. Chris will be able to come and the baby will be a little bigger, which will be awesome. The ultrasound will make this pregnancy even more real and give us confirmation that I'm not just feeling nauseas and tired for nothing. So hopefully I will have ultrasound pictures to post on December 8th. I can't wait to see our little guy/girl!

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!

We're pregnant!!!!!!!

Yep, that's right-Landon is going to be a big brother!

Here's how I found out for those who are interested:

Chris had to work on Halloween night so after we went trick or treating, Landon, my 12 year old cousin, and I decided to head to my sister's place to knock on her door. I had told my sister I was late and asked her if I should take a test. She told me she would wait a while longer. I kept asking where my period was then because I'm NEVER late. I didn't really think I was pregnant but was worried about where it was! Anyway, she had some pregnancy tests so I took one and right away there was TWO RED LINES! I thought maybe it was the test lines and walked out to ask Britt what that meant. She smiled and said, "NO WAY! THAT MEANS YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!!" She then had Cody come in and look and he smiled and gave me a hug. I didn't believe it so we dropped my cousin off at home and ran to Wal-Mart to get a digital test. I got to her place, took the test, right away it said "PREGNANT." I couldn't believe it! I thought my sister would be sad (she has been trying for quite a while now) but she has been so supportive. She smiled and told me that I'm her sister and she's excited for me. I love her! Anyway, while we were at Wal-Mart, I picked up some sparking grape juice. My sister made a little tag that said Congrats and we tied it to the juice bottle with ribbon. We wrapped up the test and when I got home, I set it on the computer desk in our room. Chris came in around 5am and was just staring at the bottle. I woke up and he asked me who it was for. I said "You!" he asked why and I said open up this box and you will see. He had NO idea what was going on. He opened the box and a huge smile spread across his face with a "WHAT?!" I hadn't even told him I was late. We are still kind of in shock but couldn't be more excited to add another little baby to our family. We don't know the exact due date but we are thinking I am 6 weeks along and the baby will be due at the beginning of July. I have my first appointment today so I will keep everyone posted. I was going to wait to blog about the pregnancy until after the appointment but pretty much everyone who reads my blog already knows and it's been hard enough to keep this secret for the last almost 2 weeks. I am a little tired and most of the day nauseas but for the most part, I feel pretty good.

Now the question is...BOY OR GIRL?!

An EXCITING {Day}

I turned 22 today. 22! It doesn't seem so old when someone says it but I feel like I just had my last birthday. I woke up to a sweet card from my husband and a very quiet house. I don't think we'll do much today but that's okay. Chris has to work at 4pm and I have to get up early for work tomorrow. At least I have today off! Maybe I will make myself a cake ;)

Not only is it my birthday today, but the carpet is being installed (fully. Was started yesterday but it was just laid out) and we can FINALLY MOVE DOWNSTAIRS!!!!! The basement looks amazing. My dad and everyone who helped did a great job. I will post pictures as soon as we are all settled in. Can't wait!

I'm A BIG Kid Now!

Landon went number two for the first time on his potty chair the other night. He didn't just run up, sit down, and start going but it's exciting just the same. We were eating dinner and I was on the phone with my sister. I noticed that his face was getting red so I told my sister I was going to run him to the potty and hung up with her. I got him down from his highchair and asked if he wanted to go on the potty and he said "YEAH!" So I hurried and pulled off his diaper and he actually sat there and pushed! We were so proud.

For the past couple of days, whenever he gets up from his naps, he'll let us know that he went "pee pee." He even knows when he's about to pass gas! Hopefully that means he's aware of when he goes so we can start really potty training him. A lot of moms have told me that boys are harder to train and I should wait until he's 3 but I think if Landon seems ready, we'll just give it a try!!!!!

Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!!

Kiddie Kandids

I took Landon to Kiddie Kandids to get his annual pictures done yesterday. Brittany and Cody came too. Landon threw a fit a first but after 40 minutes, we got a few good poses. I can't believe how much Landon has grown since his photos taken last year.

I love this little guy!

Halloween 2008

Halloween this year was a very fun one! We went treat or treating with the neighbors and their two kids, their mother in law, and my dad. Luckily Chris worked the night shift and was able to come with. Chris pulled Landon and the neighbor, Allison, in the red wagon. Landon had a BLAST! Everytime we told him to go say "TRICK OR TREAT!" he would take a piece of candy out and hand it to the person at the door. After someone would give him candy we would tell him to say thank you and in the cutest voice he would say "Bye bye!" about ten times.-it was SO cute. After that, we went to trick or treat at Aunt Britt and Uncle Cody's since they only had one family come!
