Oh nuts!

We went to the allergist on Thursday before we left for Spokane and had Landon tested for peanuts, cashews, almonds, and a few other treenuts. Turns out Landon is indeed allergic to peanuts (which we were almost positive about) but the good thing is he can have any other kind of nut. I was really bummed about Landon not being able to experience peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but my sister told me about an almond butter sold at Costco. We thought it would be way expensive but I was happy to see that it was only $7.99 a jar. So we're gonna try it! The allergist said to have Landon tested in 1-2 years to see if he outgrew the allergy. I really hope that he does but if he doesn't, I'm sure we'll be able to find lots of fun substitutes!

Chris and I were planning on moving to Utah sometime around the end of August to the 1st of September buuut our plans changed! Landon and I drove to Spokane with my mom on Thursday for my cousin's wedding and then we made the drive to Utah from there on Saturday. I packed as many clothing and toys for us as I could in my mom's SUV. Chris is going to drive to Utah with a U-Haul with the rest of our stuff (except our bed and his clothes) on July 25th and Chris' mom is going to follow in our Jeep with our things in it as well. We have an open house on the 26th here so he'll make it just in time for that. Chris will be here for good at the end of August. It's been hard being away from my husband after only being married for a little over a week but our living situation just wasn't working out for us. Chris and I decided it was best for Landon and I to get out of there. I am going to try to find a part time job coming up so we can save as much as possible so we can get our own place. Even though I miss Chris terribly, it's been tons of fun being with the rest of my family. I have lots of pictures to share but unfortunately, I forgot the cable hook ups in Seattle. Anyway, yes, for all of those who keep wondering what is going on, we are now living in the Beehive state!!!

That's what I love about Sundays

Well, I always love Sundays but this last one was lots of fun in particular. First of all, it was Father's Day! I love my daddy and Landon's daddy very much and don't know what I would do without them. Early in the morning, Annie's family dropped off the Jeep. We went today (Monday) to get the title changed and license plates so it's now officially ours! It was stressful today running around and at first the Jeep wouldn't start because I had accidently left the dome light on for a while in the evening on Sunday, OOPS! My brother came to the rescue and jumped the jeep and then we rushed to get to the places we needed to go in order to legally drive.
Anyway, after the jeep was dropped off and church was over, my mom, sister, Kelli-soon to be sister in law, and Landon drove to Bellvue so Kelli could try on her bridesmaid dress. On the way home, we decided to stop in Des Moines and walk along the board walk. Landon LOVED the water. It's to fun having my mom and sister here and Landon really enjoys playing with both of them. They are helping me so much with the wedding. Only 3 more days...YIKES!

I'm just kind of excited because this is my first car ever. It's in my name and everything!

Bye bye!

Today was the last day that I had to watch Annie, the little baby I have been babysitting three days a week since October of this year. Annie and her family are moving to Kansas on Tuesday which is kind of perfect timing seeing as the wedding is this next week and it gives me time to do all of the last minute preparations. I will see her one more time though, this Sunday, when her parents drop off OUR JEEP! They were generous enough to offer us their Grand Cherokee in trade of two months pay. We are so grateful to them and I am looking forward to having my own car. Anyway, a part of me will miss little Anabelle but a bigger part of me is happy that I'm done! Her mom and I decided that we will keep in touch via email so that will be nice but it's sad to think that I will probably never see her again. Bye bye Annie!

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Brown

Chris' Aunt Dorthy and Uncle Bob came by the house today to visit & give us our very first wedding gift! It was fun to see "Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Brown" printed on the card. They will not be able to make to the wedding so it was nice that they were able to come over and see everyone. It was the first time Landon and I had met them and I'm so glad we were able to-they are such nice people. We are planning on driving out to see them after the wedding to show them some pictures from the wedding. There is only 12 days left until the wedding-I can hardly believe it!

Our Little Neice (& cousin!)

Chris' sister, Megan, from Montana is in town with her two sweet little girls until after the wedding. Megan wanted to run to the store and so when she asked if I would watch 5 month old Hayley, of course I said "YES!" She is such happy baby. We watched tv and snuggled and after a while, she fell asleep on my lap.
Landon is having so much fun with Lexi too who is almost 3! They are so cute together-I will have to post some pictures of them.
